Perhaps one of the greatest advantages of the Democrat Party is the fact that it hardly recruits the brightest stars in the sky.
In particular its DEI candidates, who are surely amongst the dullest knives in a drawer.
After all, if a Democrat is determined to defy incoming President Trump by blatantly violating federal law, one would think that the Democrat would remain quiet.
Alas, DEI officials don’t think very far ahead, given their disturbing dependence on outsized emotional reactions.
And perhaps one of the most moronic DEI officials of all is Boston’s “first Asian-American female” mayor, whose attributes apparently consist of checking off boxes.
Wu, in all her non-brilliance, thought it would be a great idea to announce her intentions to defy Trump.
“Elections have consequences, and the federal government is responsible for a certain set of actions, and cities, no individual city, can reverse or override some parts of that,” Wu admitted.
You don’t say! The federal government having the power to overrule some rinky dink mayor in a sanctuary city? Wow, imagine that!
“But what we can do is make sure that we are doing our part to protect our residents in every possible way, that we are not cooperating with those efforts that actually threaten the safety of everyone by causing widespread fear and having large scale economic impact,” Wu insisted.
Frankly, Ms. Wu, the only “large scale economic impact” will be greatly appreciated by individuals who pay increasingly exorbitant taxes to fund increasingly ungrateful illegals.
“And then we are providing the spaces to reach out directly to our residents, because the last thing we want is for people who are part of our economy, part of our school system, part of our community and the fabric of our city, to feel that all of a sudden they have to retreat into the shadows with because of fear that reaching out to city services, whether it’s calling 911, when you need it, or taking your child to school, those are all city services that have nothing to do with immigration enforcement, and we will continue to protect our residents within those spaces,” Wu arrogantly added.
Sure. Because illegals have paid so much into the system that they love to exploit so fully.
That said, Wu’s commentary really is no surprise when considering her utterly absurd racism, which was put on full display more than once.
Perhaps the most notorious display of racism occurred when she hosted an “Electeds of Color Holiday Party” … despite the fact that seven Boston officials are White.
Wu’s idiot aide Denise DosSantos apparently sent the email to all officials, not just officials “of color.”
Amazingly, her apology was even more idiotic.
“I wanted to apologize for my previous email regarding a Holiday Party for tomorrow … I did send that to everyone by accident, and I apologize if my email may have offended or came across as so. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused,” DosSantos asserted.
“I apologize if my email may have offended?” Is this woman for real? How about apologizing for sending such an insane email in the first place?
Then again, DosSantos’s idiotic apology was even more moronic when considering Wu’s own commentary, which was hardly apologetic, to put it mildly.
“We had individual conversations with everyone so people understand that it was truly just an honest mistake that went out in typing the email field,” Wu ignorantly declared.
Oh, is that all?
Clearly, everyone must be totally fine with a super-racist holiday party in such a case then. After all, Wu claimed that sending the invitation to all officials was an “honest mistake” … suggesting that such blatant racism is an “honest belief” on her part.
Predictably, Wu made things worse and worse and worse as she continued in her faux apology.
“I think we’ve all been in a position at one point where an email went out, and there was a mistake in the recipient. It is my intention that we can, again, be a city that lives our values and create space for all kinds of communities to come together,” Wu continued to ramble.
Right. All kinds of communities except White people, it would appear.
That said, it’s a good thing that Wu is one of the biggest dolts in office, as announcing her plans to defy the federal government clearly wasn’t a very bright move.
Which was confirmed by newly appointed Border Czar Tom Homan.
“If you don’t want to work with us, then get the hell out all the way. We’re going to do it. What it means is, rather than send 100 people to Boston, we’re going to send 200 agents to Boston. We’re going to get the job done,” Homan remarked flatly.
Hallelujah … and not a moment to soon.
