“It was my honor to help support the creation of DOGE … I’m confident that Elon [and] team will succeed in streamlining government.”
Recently, leading MAGA ally Vivek Ramaswamy may have startled several different individuals with this statement.
After all, Ramaswamy had been tapped as one of the key leaders in the Trump administration’s effort to clean up waste in the federal government.
However, while Ramaswamy has played an integral role in the department’s formation, he has also realized the important role that he can play in an official, elected position.
According to a report from the New York Post, Ramaswamy has made it very clear that his imminent departure from DOGE is not due to any disagreement with the Trump administration, but rather his desire to pursue elected office.
“Well, the reality is I’m pursuing elected office very shortly. We’ll have an announcement soon,” Ramaswamy noted.
Naturally, he has strong justification for this decision.
“When you’re talking about a constitutional revival, it’s not just done through the federal government, it’s done through federalism where states also lead the way so I’ll be saying more on that very shortly,” Ramaswamy noted.
Without a doubt. It is especially helpful when states work with, rather than against, the president.
After all, consider how many states have decided to rebel against Trump’s mass deportation programs, preferring to protect criminals over American citizens in order to score cheap political shots.
With someone like Ramaswamy in a gubernatorial position, quite a bit could be fostered between federal and state collaboration.
Including the creation of a sane Silicon Valley.
“I think the Ohio River Valley can be at the bleeding edge of the American economy for the next 20 years,” Ramaswamy mused.
Which is no doubt why Ramaswamy now has his eyes trained on the seat of outgoing governor Mike DeWine.
Moreover, a separate report from the New York Post revealed that Ramaswamy has already initiated action for his gubernatorial vision, “snapping up” several key aides to Vice President J.D. Vance.
One aide includes Andy Surabian, who served as an adviser to Vance during his 2022 Senate and 2024 vice presidential runs. In addition, long-time Republican pollster Jai Chabria will reportedly serve as the political consultant for the campaign.
Furthermore, Arthur Schwartz, who is an ally of Vance and Donald Trump Jr. alike, will also serve on Ramaswamy’s team.
The number of Vance aides assisting Ramaswamy further underscores the cohesion and collaboration between Ramaswamy and the Trump administration.
However, while Ramaswamy has an all-star team, he also faces stiff competition: State Treasurer Robert Sprague and Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost are also in the running.
That said, Ramaswamy does have the powerful Trump administration in his back corner, not to mention quite a few brilliant policy proposals of his own.
Which in turn maximizes his opportunity for potential victory in a forthcoming gubernatorial race.
“I’ll have more to say very soon about my future plans in Ohio. Most importantly, we’re all-in to help President Trump make America great again!” Ramaswamy asserted.
Without a doubt. And may the winning continue, unabated …
