Republican Proposes New And Improved “Reparations” Plan

Leave it to Democrats to create a golden opportunity for Republicans to strike back against them, especially in terms of utterly absurd schemes.

The “reparations” scheme in California, which was always a free state, is one of the most absurd to date, not to mention especially divorced from economic reality.

Furthermore, even if California did have money for its ridiculous scheme, there would certainly be no merit to it.

In fact, according to Ohio Republican Senate candidate Bernie Moreno, perhaps another group of individuals should be beneficiaries of so-called reparations.

“We stand at the shoulders of giants, don’t we? We stand on shoulders of people like John Adams, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, George Washington. That this group of people took on the largest empire in history. They said no, we will not stand for this. And won,” Moreno mused.

Seriously.

After all, to get technical, the British Empire did engage in colonialism for an extended period of time, and it attempted to keep Americans colonized indefinitely while taxing them simultaneously.

However, like the true Patriots they were, the Founding Fathers and their supporters fought back against the tyranny of King George III, succeeding in creating the most exceptional nation the world has ever witnessed.

“That same group of people later, White people, died to free Black people. It’s never happened in human history before, but it happened here in America. That’s not taught a lot in schools much is it?” Moreno declared.

Indeed it isn’t. However, 9,000 different types of gender are likely “taught,” along with a healthy dose of critical race theory, which ironically does not encourage critical thinking at all.

“They make it sound like America is a racist, broken country … You name a country that did that: that freed slaves, died to do that. You know, they talk about reparations. Where are the reparations for the people in the North who died to save the lives of Black people?” Moreno added pointedly.

Clearly, those reparations aren’t of any interest at all, as that would disrupt the media’s rather tired white vs. black narrative.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Conor McGuinness, who is aligned with Moreno’s campaign, pointed out how his commentary underscores the ludicrous hypocrisy of the Dems.

“Bernie was right when he said political correctness is killing our country, and the crocodile tears from the left expose the Democrat hypocrisy he was referring to in the clip … However, it’s unsurprising that the liberal media missed his point, since they’ve been complicit with the identity politics charade for years,” McGuinness mused.

Seriously.

And what a way to show how identity politics can be turned on its head …
