Trump Wins First International Trade War … In Under Three Hours

Talk about an astounding first week of winning!

With a grand total of a week, President Donald Trump, along with his dedicated team, have already transformed the social and political landscape across the United States.

Through a flurry of executive orders and executive actions, Trump has disempowered deranged DEI initiatives, visited states afflicted by deadly natural disasters, and, perhaps most critically, commenced mass deportation of illegal migrants with criminal records.

Needless to say, with that much success, puppet “leaders” of other nations are clearly, albeit vainly, attempting to fight back against Trump.

Looks like woke world leaders – much like feckless sanctuary city mayors – are going to learn the hard way when they try to play against the Trump administration.

Especially with regards to the mass deportation of illegal migrants, many of whom have significant criminal records.

Which is precisely why their nations of origin clearly do not want them back.

Mexico and Colombia have been especially vocal in this regard, with both nations refusing to allow United States military aircraft to land on their soil.

As two military aircraft were bound for Colombia, Trump became especially incensed at the nation’s refusal to take back its own wayward citizens.

And his response was swift.

“I was just informed that two repatriation flights from the United States, with a large number of Illegal Criminals, were not allowed to land in Colombia. This order was given by Colombia’s Socialist President Gustavo Petro, who is already very unpopular amongst his people. Petro’s denial of these flights has jeopardized the National Security and Public Safety of the United States, so I have directed my Administration to immediately take the following urgent and decisive retaliatory measures,” Trump declared on Truth Social.

And those “retaliatory measures” are no joke, as they include “emergency 25% tariffs on all goods coming into the United States,” which would be raised to 50% within one week.

In addition, Trump also issued “a travel ban and immediate visa revocations on the Colombian government officials, and all allies and supporters,” as well as “enhanced Customs and Border Protection inspections of all Colombian nationals and cargo on national security grounds.”

Naturally, all the critics of Trump began to chime in almost instantly, claiming that Trump’s tariff threat wouldn’t work while simultaneously ranting and raving about how Trump is hurting Americans.

The New York Times, for instance, whined that flowers could be more expensive.

With respect, New York Times, illegal criminals roaming about the United States is a bigger concern.

But here’s the funny thing, despite liberal handwringing: Trump’s approach did work.

Sorry, New York Times. Better luck next time.

In fact, Gustavo Petro, the current president of Colombia, executed a complete policy reversal in under three hours, offering a sniveling excuse for his sudden, totally unpredictable turn.

“The Government of Colombia, under the direction of President Gustavo Petro, has arranged the presidential plane to facilitate the dignified return of the compatriots who were going to arrive in the country today in the morning, coming from deportation flights,” Petro’s office declared in a translated statement.

Nice try, Petro.

Frankly, what is more hilarious than the sniveling excuse about so-called “dignity” for violent criminals is the fact that he offered his own presidential plane to pick up the migrants.

Had he just allowed Trump to land the US military aircraft in the first place, his own plane would have never been involved.

After all, something suggests the presidential plane would not be offered to Colombian criminals had Trump not threatened enormous, economy-crippling tariffs on the South American nation.

Something also suggests that even mainstream media recognizes this reality.

“Colombia backs down on accepting deportees on military planes after Trump’s tariffs threats,” CNN bleakly admitted.

Something further suggests that many nations are taking note of what Trump is doing, taking note of the consequences that will occur when they refuse to take back individuals that pose a grave threat to national security.
