“This will not stand — not on my watch.”
These words were expressed by New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who delivered a rather pointed response to a huge spate of subway crimes in March 2024.
To follow up her words, Hochul also deployed 1,000+ National Guardsmen to the subway system, in an effort to appear tough on subway crime.
Unfortunately, far, far more than 1,000 illegals have besieged the subway system of New York City since Hochul’s proclamation, leaving literally millions of Americans vulnerable to violent, unvetted illegal migrants.
That’s right: Per a deeply disturbing report from the New York Post, subway violence across New York City has been absolutely relentless over the holiday season, further underscoring the extent to which a once brilliant city has fully sunk under Democrat leadership.
“The Big Apple subway system has been wracked by five straight days of violence amid a spike in transit crime – despite the NYPD, National Guard and even the crime-crusading Guardian Angels on patrol.
The horrifying Dec. 22 torching death of a New Jersey straphanger on a Brooklyn F train was only the beginning of the latest underground crime spree, which has seen five people stabbed or slashed and a 45-year-old straphanger thrown under a Manhattan subway train since Sunday. For some city politicians, it’s reached the breaking point,” the Post reported.
Very distressingly, some of the illegal migrants have apparently been bombed out of their minds on drugs and alcohol … more “goodies” for newcomers that the taxpayers are forced to subsidize.
Especially when they proceed to commit incredibly violent crimes while under the influence.
Unspeakably violent, actually, as more than one method would surely be approved by the utterly despicable organization of ISIS, amongst other terrorist regimes.
Which is precisely why Republicans and even some Democrats alike are totally fed up with the state of insanity in New York City subways.
For instance, Republican Councilwoman Joann Ariola, who hails from Queens, declared that New Yorkers can no longer trust the public transportation system.
“New Yorkers do not feel safe on our subways, despite the nonsense that Gov. [Kathy] Hochul is spouting. We need to prioritize public safety over empty political rhetoric, especially now that Albany is forcing more people into public transportation thanks to their latest congestion pricing tax,” Ariola asserted.
Seriously. Of course, the ultra-left manage to increase the likelihood of violence through asinine taxation schemes.
Ariola also threw shade at the obvious optics move that Hochul previously made with the National Guardsmen.
“More Guardsmen is great for optics, but what we really need to do is untie the hands of the NYPD and let them start doing their jobs again,” Ariola added pointedly.
Ariola also received support from the other side in her rampage, with Democrat Councilman Robert Holden haranguing the state of chaos in New York as well.
“Every day, we face stabbings, shoves onto tracks, or worse, being burned alive. But Kathy Hochul says she’s ‘making our subways safer,’ and that ‘crime is down. New Yorkers are tired of being gaslit – and even more tired of being assaulted,” Holden angrily declared.
Seriously!
While it is deeply unfortunate that New York City insists upon being a “sanctuary” city, it is even more deeply unfortunate that the formerly forward-thinking city has largely squandered many of its resources on bizarre witch hunt trials against President-elect Donald Trump.
The fixation on Trump, which in turn depletes resources from other endeavors, has created even more opportunities for violent havoc in crime-riddled streets and subway systems.
Especially when the New York Police Department (NYPD) and anyone else remotely sensible fears facing consequences for daring to protect the public.
After all, Daniel Penny narrowly evaded a prison sentence for daring to protect other commuters against a crazed homeless man, all because District Attorney (DA) Alvin Bragg wanted to whip up some fresh BLM momentum before the big election.
Hopefully, once Trump rights the shipwreck that America has become under Biden, law and order will prevail once again.
In the meantime, public commuters should be be exceptionally aware of their surroundings at all times.
