Bondi Employs Serious Brass Tacks Against Hapless Hochul Over Illegals

“As you know, we sued Illinois. New York didn’t listen. So now, you’re next.”

So declared US Attorney General Pam Bondi to ultra-woke New York state over its total recalcitrance regarding illegal migrants.

As reported by the New York Post, the Trump administration has justifiably taken major issue with the “Green Light Law” passed in 2019.

Per this law, illegal migrants can obtain driver’s licenses … and the DMV can also refuse to share any information with the federal government regarding the presence of illegal migrants.

And since New York has refused to undo such an egregiously “unconstitutional” law, Bondi is now taking aggressive, brass tacks action against the woke state.

Chiefly through a rather pointed lawsuit … which may complicate Hochul’s cash “handouts” for families making under $150,000 per year across the state.

As if a $300 cash handout is at all equivalent to at least $1,000+ cash handed out to illegals monthly, but Dems count on their voting base ignoring such logical realizations.

“The United States is currently facing a crisis of illegal immigration. And the Federal Government is set to put a stop to it. While States are welcome partners in that effort, it is the prerogative as separate sovereigns to refrain. But a State’s freedom to stand aside is not a freedom to stand in the way. And where inaction crosses into obstruction, a State breaks the law,” the lawsuit declared.

Especially when that “obstruction” has sent crime rates across the state soaring, not to mention prices for basic, everyday items.

“From vehicle stops to border crossings to executing arrests and searches, immigration authorities depend on these records to assess real-time the situations they face and the people they encounter. But New York’s Green Light Law deprives them of this insight; and in turn, unnecessarily forces brave law enforcement officers into dangers and uncertain circumstances,” the lawsuit continued.

Well, New York was also at the epicenter of the “Defund Police” insanity, not to mention the pro-terrorist protests that defined the end of the Biden-Harris administration.

Is it really any surprise that the state could care less about the safety of police officers, especially against the Dems’ key voting base – Biden’s “newcomers?”

“The State of New York is doing just that. It must be stopped,” the lawsuit added pointedly.

Indeed, that practice must stop. As recognized by anyone with any sense, including many online readers.

“Even wider Federal financial support for [New York], Illinois and California should be frozen immediately until these States demonstrate a willingness to comply with Federal laws. They set up separate State laws that break Federal laws and that is Unconstitutional,” one commenter declared.

Without a doubt.

Naturally, hapless Hochul issued a sniveling excuse via her press secretary, Avi Small.

“[Hochul] has been clear from day one: she supports deporting violent criminals who break our laws, believes that law-abiding families should not be targets, and will coordinate with federal authorities who have a judicial warrant,” Small insisted.

Right. Something suggests that the Trump administration will take a more effective approach.

“This is a new DOJ. New York has chosen to prioritize illegal aliens over American citizens. It stops. It stops today,” Bondi

About darn time …
