Well then.
That escalated quickly.
As the media has been so slavishly dedicated to its ongoing “honeymoon” of Harris and Walz, it can be distressingly easy to overlook the fact that none other than Mr. Hunter Biden still has a number of ongoing court cases.
Court cases that, in reality, can be almost exclusively attributed to his father’s wheeling and dealing while serving as Obama’s alleged running mate.
And, in a rather stunning twist of events, it would appear that Mr. Hunter is apparently shifting his plea stance in a major tax evasion case.
According to a startling report from the New York Post, it seems that Mr. Hunter has made an abrupt change to his plea agreement for tax evasion.
Specifically by changing his plea to guilty, rather than the anticipated not guilty.
The news emerges as Hunter’s lawyer Abbe Lowell made a rather abrupt announcement with regards to his client’s sudden change of mind.
“Mr. Biden intends to change his plea this morning,” Lowell declared, offering no explanation for why Hunter has suddenly decided to confess to evading taxes on $1.4M in compensation.
Compensation largely garnered from suspect overseas connections, no less.
That said, it seems to be a rather strange decision, given that Hunter allegedly faces upwards of seventeen years in prison if he were to be found guilty.
Then again, Hunter could also be the beneficiary of yet another sweetheart deal being cooked up behind the scenes.
A couple of sweetheart deals, actually, bearing in mind the degree to which Hunter has already graced the American court system over the course of this year.
“President Biden’s son, who arrived at court hand in hand with wife Melissa Cohen, was facing his second trial in just the span of a few months after he was convicted in June of illegally owning a gun while hooked on drugs,” the New York Post helpfully added.
So, Hunter has not only been found guilty on guns and narcotics-related charges, but also imminently guilty on $1.4M in tax evasion fraud to boot as well.
Though he may well be pleading “guilty” now as he may well be pardoned anyway.
Of course, Biden allegedly swore up and down that he would not pardon Hunter, though though it sure seems that he may do so anyway.
Why else would Hunter change his plea so thoroughly and abruptly?
“We all know that his Dad has never paid taxes on his influence peddling income either. All those checks that his Dad were given to repay loans that were not loan repayments. Joe will never be charged,” one commenter remarked.
Seriously.
“He’s getting pardoned anyway,” another individual replied.
Isn’t that the truth.
Wonder what else the lame duck leader may have in store …
