ICE Launches Raid On Restaurant Chain Owned By Anti-Trump Newscaster

Well, that escalated quickly.

“Culinary Crackdown,” the New York Post blared with regards to the reported raid of a restaurant owned by the husband of a newscaster who had been critical of President Trump in the past.

Norah O’Donnell, an apparent star on CBS News, had recently stepped down from her position on public television after more than a decade of experience.

“I have spent 12 years in the anchor chair here at CBS News, connected to a daily broadcast and the rigors of a relentless news cycle. It’s time to do something different. This presidential election will be my seventh as a journalist, and for many of us in this business we tend to look at our careers in terms of these milestone events,” O’Donnell declared, shortly after the 2024 presidential election.

Nonetheless, despite the departure of O’Donnell, ICE agents still trained their eyes on the restaurant owned by O’Donnell’s husband.

According to a report from the New York Post, approximately one dozen ICE agents stormed Chef Geoff’s – a small chain of restaurants – in Washington, D.C.

The apparent purpose of the ICE agents’ mission was to verify multiple employees’ I-9 forms, which verify that an individual is legally permitted to work within the United States.

In this particular raid, ICE reportedly did not take any employee from Chef Geoff’s into detention.

However, Chef Geoff’s was hardly the only location targeted by ICE agents.

Millie’s – another prominent establishment in D.C. – was raided by nine ICE agents, though the owner was apparently more resistant.

In pointed remarks to the New York Post, Bo Blair declared that the ICE agents backed down when he pushed back on their requests to interrogate employees.

“They all came in all of the public entrances at the same time,” Blair intoned.

Sounds a tad dramatic … Almost as if one would have to be there in person to witness it firsthand.

That said, it should not be a huge surprise that Washington, D.C. has been targeted by ICE for various migrant raids.

After all, Washington, D.C. has long been a rather “proud” sanctuary city, thanks to Mayor Muriel Bowser.

In fact, D.C. has been so besieged with migrants that even the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) admitted that the capital of the United States was at “a tipping point” in 2022.

Considering that the UK is one of the most migrant-ravaged nations on the planet, the BBC’s “tipping point” declaration is rather chilling.

And, in case you were wondering, it would appear that the Washington, D.C. mayor is yet another example of Obama’s DEI legacy.

Just consider Bowser’s gushing tribute to Obama on his birthday in 2022.

“Happy birthday, President Obama! Thank you for paving the way for future generations of leaders,” Bowser boomed on X.

Interesting.

Obama really did try to “finish the job” with the Biden administration, didn’t he?
