Looks like Elon Musk isn’t the only billionaire that top presidential candidate Donald Trump has in his corner.
As reported by Blaze Media, Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, who is the billionaire owner of the Los Angeles Times, has apparently blocked the newspaper from endorsing Kamala Harris, as it was apparently dying to do.
Hilariously, the editorial board proclaimed that it is “no exaggeration to say this may be the most consequential election in a generation” … only to follow up the rather grand statement with no presidential endorsement whatsoever.
Now that is hilarious … especially coming out of one of the nation’s largest sanctuary cities of all time.
Naturally, the woke editorial board was muzzled from making remarks upon the paper’s decision to not endorse any presidential candidate.
“We do not comment on internal discussions or decisions about editorials or endorsements,” spokesperson pithily declared in a statement.
No comments, necessary, thanks.
It’s simply great to know that one of the Dems’ favorite mouthpieces has opted out of issuing a presidential endorsement in 2024, despite endorsing every single Democrat for the presidency since 2008.
Naturally, more than one woke individual, such as lawyer Sean Nyberg, was disgusted by the apparent desire of the Los Angeles Times to eschew endorsements.
“Of all the elections to sit out. The Los Angeles Times decision to not endorse for president this year made my decision to cancel my subscription extremely easy. They’ve coward [sic] in fear over Trump’s ‘Enemies will be punished’ threats. Gross, weak and pathetic,” Nyberg angrily remarked.
Either that, or the paper simply did not want to endorse Comrade Kamala.
“Harris is just too weird even for the California looney tunes,” one commenter pithily remarked.
Perhaps she is.
Or perhaps the paper’s owner has taken a liking to Trump’s pro-business policies, which was evident from his remarks in 2016.
Per a report from Stat News, Trump apparently made quite the impression on Soon-Shiong during a dinner.
According to Ramsey Baghdadi, co-founder of Washington analysis firm Prevision, the healthcare innovator and Los Angeles Times owner aligns with the “unconventional” type of character that compels Trump.
“[Soon-Shiong] certainly fits the unconventional model of the kind of people the Trump transition 2.0 is looking at across the board: business background, extremely successful, and no political experience or baggage. In that sense, he makes a perfect potential appointee or adviser in the new Trump world,” Baghdadi asserted.
Indeed, he does.
Especially as he clearly has quite a few more brain cells than the standard woke militant, who tends to run high on emotion and low on logic.
According to Trump’s transition team in 2016, Trump and Soon-Shiong “discussed innovation in the area of medicine and national medical priorities that need to be addressed in our country.”
Soon-Shiong clearly felt invigorated by the meeting, which was evident in his social media commentary afterwards.
“Incredible honor dining w/Pres-elect @realDonaldTrump last night. He truly wants to advance #healthcare for all,” Soon-Shiong tweeted.
Apparently, Soon-Shiong has remembered that honor well into 2024, given the decision of the Los Angeles Times to steer clear of blatantly Marxist endorsements.
