For someone who makes such a public proclamation of his supposed support for Biden, Obama sure seems active in undermining Biden in a more insidious manner.
For starters, Obama publicly escorted Biden off the stage at a glitzy Hollywood fundraiser all of a few weeks ago, which raised a few eyebrows.
Of course, the Dems proceeded to raise $30M anyway, in their typical grifting fashion.
Then, following the disastrous debate, Obama publicly expressed support for Biden … though his chief strategist published a scathing opinion piece on the official webpage of CNN, which effectively demanded for Biden to step aside.
Obama also colluded with Clinton, whose own strategist released an even more aggressive opinion piece in the New York Times, declaring that Biden won’t be the nominee, whether he likes it or not.
Of course, the Clinton strategist was sure to suggest that Obama and Clinton should personally oversee a “mini-primary” to replace Biden.
Now, Obama is apparently weaponizing Hollywood against his former running mate, knowing that all the stars, regardless of their fame, will tow the Democrat line.
After all, they’re hardly qualified to do much else.
One of the biggest leftist stars of all, George Clooney, is one such Hollywood tool, who apparently believes himself to be as intelligent as some of the fictional characters he’s played in his films.
And, despite openly supporting Biden at the Hollywood fundraiser, Clooney seems to have abruptly shifted his tune, publishing his own (ghostwritten) opinion piece.
And, lo and behold, none other than Obama was aware of Clooney’s forthcoming attack on Biden.
“Before Hollywood icon and Democratic donor George Clooney published his buzzy and brutal NYT op-ed yesterday calling on Biden to step aide as the nominee, we’re told he reached out to former President Barack Obama to give him a heads-up …
While Obama did not encourage or advise Clooney to say what he said, he also didn’t object to it, we’re told from people familiar with their exchange. The lack of pushback is an eye-popping revelation given that the former president was one of the first big voices defending Biden following his abysmal debate performance,” Politico reported.
That’s Obama’s idea of loyalty, apparently.
When Politico pressed for additional insight, Obama’s team reportedly “declined to comment.”
Well, why would they? They’re doing more than enough damage behind the scenes, contrary to Obama’s insincere support of Biden following the rather disastrous debate.
Besides, Obama already has other leftist lapdogs that will freely comment for him, such as MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough.
“The Biden campaign and many Democratic officials do believe that Barack Obama is quietly working behind the scenes to orchestrate this,” Scarborough asserted.
Not so sure about “quietly” at this point, considering the massive noise in the media, but he most definitely is working against him.
Heck, perhaps Obama’s own strategist wrote Clooney’s opinion piece for him, as Clooney’s career has hardly been based upon his erudition and intellect.
“I love Joe Biden. As a senator. As a vice president and as president. I consider him a friend, and I believe in him. Believe in his character. Believe in his morals. In the last four years, he’s won many of the battles he’s faced,” Clooney declared.
Really? Like the battle against the Taliban in Afghanistan?
Please, tell us more, Mr. Clooney.
“But the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can. It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate,” Clooney continued.
Gee, thanks for the news flash … four years later. For reference, most sane Americans saw Biden for exactly who he was, cognitive decline and all, before he “beat” Trump in 2020.
Hilariously, Clooney went as far as to claim that Nancy Pelosi should tell Biden to step aside … which she did, indirectly, in her own sudden stance against Biden.
Of course, beleaguered Biden aides have very little to say in the president’s defense, aside from the following:
“A campaign official who attended that Los Angeles fundraiser tells me that George Clooney left three hours before the president,” CNN White House correspondent Kayla Tausche declared.
Is that so? That’s all the Biden team has to say in response to Clooney’s scathing editorial?
Apparently, it is.
Biden himself only shouted, “AFL-CIO!” when asked about Clooney’s statement, a rather strange, incomplete defense, but most deduced that he was referring to a union that supposedly supports him.
One thing is clear: Looks like Obama is pulling out all the stops, from Clinton to Clooney, in a desperate bid to secure his “fourth term.”
