Looks like efforts to remove Biden from the top of the Democrat ticket have resumed once again.
Especially with Democrat elites like Adam Schiff apparently calling for Biden to step down.
“While the choice to withdraw from the campaign is President Biden’s alone, I believe it is time for him to pass the torch. And in doing so, secure his legacy of leadership by allowing us to defeat Donald Trump in the upcoming election …
A second Trump presidency will undermine the very foundation of our democracy, and I have serious concerns about whether the President can defeat Donald Trump in November,” Schiff declared.
Looks like more than one Adam on the West Coast is all hands-on deck for Biden’s departure, as Washington Representative Adam Smith is also spearheading a major anti-Biden movement within the house.
“You will never forgive yourself for not doing what you could when you had the chance. Everybody knows that this has to happen,” Smith asserted.
Everyone but “Doctor” Jill Biden and other hangers on, it would appear.
Better watch out Smith – as Jill will never forgive you either, just like she’s apparently never forgiven hapless Kamala Harris for her behavior towards Biden during the Democrat presidential primaries in 2020.
Colorado Representative Jason Crow has echoed the concerns of his West Coast colleagues, expressing fears of substantial losses if Biden digs in his heels over remaining on top of the ticket.
“Without a major change, we are facing a loss in November,” Crow declared.
However, while all these Democrats work steadily – and quite publicly – at undermining Biden, one particularly elitist Democrat is operating behind the scenes in the growing anti-Biden movement: Nancy Pelosi.
According to a report from Politico, Pelosi is hard at work in her efforts to remove Biden from the ticket,
“Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, convinced Biden will lose, has been working the phones since June 27 in hopes of finding a way to ease him off the ticket,” the media outlet reported.
No surprise there.
Pelosi’s political, yet pointed, position on public television just a couple of days after Biden doubled down on staying in the race was rather obvious … she clearly believed Biden should consider stepping down.
And it looks like she is continuing to pursue that belief behind the scenes, with varied liberal co-conspirators.
“The extent of Pelosi’s behind-the-scenes role hasn’t been fully revealed and may never be if the former speaker has her way. But I’m told by people familiar with the exchanges that she’s stage-managed phone calls to Jeffries, plotted strategy with the biggest names in Democratic politics and told one former elected official bluntly that Biden’s legacy can’t be destroying their party,” Politico continued.
Hah. Clearly, the Dems have failed to recognize that their own inane policies are the most responsible for “destroying their party.”
That aside, it is quite ironic that Biden, who ran on a message of unity, is facing such disunity within his own party … over his presidential campaign.
And even more ironic that he now prattles on about “cooling down” political rhetoric, given that his fiery commentary on Trump’s “threat to democracy” has been a nonstop, hyperbolic threat for years.
“Politics must never be a literal battlefield,” Biden blared, claiming that it is “time to cool it down.”
From Pelosi’s perspective, it’s disappointing that Biden has not yet cooled down his intense presidential ambitions.
Especially given his lame excuse for doubling down on staying in the race.
“Quite frankly, I think the only thing age brings is a little bit of wisdom. And I think I’ve demonstrated that I know how to get things done for the country, in spite of the fact we were told we couldn’t get it done. But there’s more to do, and I’m reluctant to walk away from that,” Biden boomed.
So, in other words, “more to do” for Obama’s fourth term … though Obama is clearly already shopping for his replacement.
Along with Pelosi.
