Just when you thought that sanctuary cities and states couldn’t get any lower, think again.
Apparently, there is simply no limit to how devious these sanctuary “havens” for illegals can become in their tactics.
In particular tactics that are highly punitive to sensible red states.
According to a report from The Blaze, the city of Denver, which has long since been overcrowded by illegals due to its asinine policies, has apparently decided to start dumping illegals in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Initially, Denver had tried to do so with Chicago, an open sanctuary city, but obvious DEI pick “Brandon” Johnson threw a fit.
Now, Denver is dumping unvetted illegals on Salt Lake City instead.
Real respect for state autonomy, these militant leftists.
And, of course, they already had their pitiable propaganda ready to go, as evidenced by remarks from Jon Ewing, who represents Denver Human Services.
“Any individual who travels through our system makes their own decision on their destination. We are simply helping people connect with family, friends, or existing support systems,” Ewing declared.
Oh, sure. More like “helping people” get off Denver taxpayers’ back, chiefly through screwing over a state that doesn’t engage in absurd “sanctuary” policies in the first place.
Of course, Ewing was sure to speak for illegals by claiming that they all have apparently “requested” to go to Salt Lake City.
“Again, it’s at their request. We will never encourage anyone to go to Salt Lake City. We will never point a finger at a map and tell someone where they should go,” Ewing insisted.
Is that so? Pray tell, which benefits does Salt Lake City offer all these illegals that Denver does not?
Chances are that Salt Lake City does not offer a host of taxpayer-funded benefit, and since Denver is clearly running out of cash, they decide to shove their self-created issue straight into the lap of a clearly fed-up red state.
Indeed, Salt Lake Police Chief Mike Brown proclaimed that virtually all the illegals shipped in from Denver arrive “with very little information other than instructions to find a person in uniform to help.”
Great “support system” that Denver is sending them to.
Andrew Roberts, who serves as chief of staff for Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson, made it very clear that Utah representatives of varied backgrounds have “communicated [their] displeasure,” noting that the city did not have the resources necessary to “absorb” the illegals.
In fact, Utah officials recently approved a flyer written in Spanish that proclaimed its resources available through food banks and other outlets are effectively maxed out.
“Food banks and other basic needs services are at capacity. If you do not have a secure and stable connection or family in Utah, consider another state to settle in the US,” the flyer proclaimed.
Translation: The illegals are taking all available food from food banks, which is frankly intended for Americans actually struggling.
Which isn’t too hard to do under Bidenomics and its ever-escalating inflation.
But don’t worry! Bill Gates will have Americans eating bugs in no time.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox hopes that the flyer will have its desired effect, though the outcome remains to be seen.
“Now, with this bulletin, we’re communicating directly with those illegally crossing the border,” Cox declared.
The Utah governor further outlined his annoyance on social media, noting that all fifty states have become de facto “border states” under Biden.
“We recently learned that the Democrat mayor of Denver has been sending illegal immigrants to Utah without proper notification or approval. This is completely unacceptable and follows on the failed catch-and-release policy of the Biden administration.
Every state has received illegal immigrants and Utah’s resources are completely depleted. All 50 states, including Utah, are now border states due to the failed immigration policies of President Biden and Congress. Once again we call on the Biden administration and Congress to solve this crisis,” Cox declared on X.
All the more reason why Trump should implement mass deportation, near immediately, once January 2025 arrives.
Hopefully, the nation will hold itself together in the meantime.
