Sanctuary State Imposes “Veil Of Secrecy” Over Its $1B Bonanza For Illegals

It’s not only scary that sanctuary cities and states refuse to turn away violent illegals, but even scarier that they refuse to provide any insight into where all the money has gone.

According to a chilling report from The Blaze, Massachusetts, which is rather notorious for spoiling illegals with catered meals, is apparently unwilling to share information regarding how at least a billion dollars has been spent on illegals.

That’s right: a billion dollars.

“Massachusetts officials have spent nearly $1 billion on illegal aliens but have refused to give legal residents details about those expenditures, the state Republican Party claims.

The Massachusetts Republican Party has submitted Freedom of Information requests to more than a half-dozen state agencies, including the office of Democratic Gov. Maura Healey, to uncover more information about payments made in connection with illegal immigrants, according to a party press release issued earlier this week,” The Blaze reported.

Well, perhaps there are several variants of the “Big Guy” in Massachusetts as well, having a grand old time with huge sums of money with zero accountability.

Meanwhile, at least 600 emergencies have emerged with illegals to date, several of which involve fire, police, and/or EMTs.

Naturally, these disasters occurred at state-funded emergency housing, yet another way in which the sanctuary state is harming taxpaying Americans.

Currently, at least 355,000 illegals live in Massachusetts, with at least 50,000 arriving in the past three years alone.

Which is exactly why Massachusetts Republican Party chair Amy Carnevale has excoriated the state’s leadership for rolling out the red carpet for illegals while causing unconscionable harm to Americans.

“Governor Maura Healey and Massachusetts legislative leaders have made Massachusetts into an international destination for illegal and inadmissible migrants, funded with very generous welfare benefits,” Carnevale declared.

She also blasted the “veil of secrecy” that Massachusetts has installed with regards to any inquires whatsoever about illegals, which include “blocking journalists.”

“We stand with the Massachusetts press corps in declaring: enough is enough. The public deserves transparency. Release the details on the vendors profiting from this crisis and the public safety issues affecting our communities. On behalf of Massachusetts residents, we are demanding accountability,” Carnevale continued.

Indeed, they do. Though such accountability hardly appears forthcoming.

Paul Craney, a spokesman for MassFiscal, noted that the woke policies of the sanctuary state have made it the preferred location for various illegals, several of which remain unvetted and arguably unsafe to be around the general public.

“Governor Maura Healey and Massachusetts legislative leaders have made Massachusetts into an international destination for illegal and inadmissible migrants, funded with very generous welfare benefits. They have virtually no self control and refuse to implement policies that deter the flow. This latest estimate will only get much worse, unless our State House leaders take action to reverse their policies,” Craney concluded.

Alas, major change is unlikely to happen unless a presidential candidate who is serious about illegal immigration wins in November.

A candidate unafraid of “popular opinion,” whatever that even means anymore.

As well as a candidate who is dependent on neither DEI nor coronation.

Hint: That candidate sure isn’t cackling Kamala …
