One does wonder just how many more coverups associated with the Biden administration have yet to be revealed, not to mention how many coverups continue well into the current day.
In an exclusive report, Fox News detailed yet another coverup associated with the Biden regime, this time involving Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler.
Unsurprisingly, Gensler previously worked as an Obama administration official and a Goldman Sachs executive.
Conveniently, Goldman Sachs happened to be one of the financial institutions that paid Obama mega-money for a dull, uninspiring 20-minute speech upon his departure from the White House.
So, it really should come as no surprise that Gensler appears to be at it again, eager to offer his services to the Dems.
The problem, however, is that the SEC is supposed to be “nonpartisan.”
On August 7, 2021, Gensler met with none other than Ms. Hillary Clinton, which was hardly the most nonpartisan move in the world, especially since the meeting was hidden from the public calendar.
Less than two weeks later, Gensler also met with none other than George Soros, who is widely suspected of funding chaos at the U.S.-Mexico border through his alleged “humanitarian” endeavors.
And, for some unexplained reason, Gensler was not too keen to advertise those meetings, given that he had both of them scrubbed from his calendar.
In other words, a massive discrepancy exists between Gensler’s private calendar and public calendar. So much for transparency.
The only reason the coverup has come to light in the first place was due to the dogged efforts of Energy Policy Advocates, a watchdog group who shared their findings with Fox News Digital.
Apparently, Soros decided to set up a meeting with Gensler following the publication of an editorial in the Wall Street Journal, wherein he simultaneously praised and criticized Blackrock, a massive multi-asset firm.
The firm has frequently come under fire for its ultra-progressive “causes,” and while Soros is apparently pleased with the firm’s alleged “environmental policies,” he dislikes the investment products launched to Chinese consumers.
Disturbingly, Soros apparently concluded his opinion piece by demanding for the SEC to have even more power.
How convenient that he happens to meet with the head of the SEC itself right afterwards.
Chris Horner, who serves as a lawyer for Energy Policy Advocates, noted the extent to which Blackrock has sunk, if the asset firm has managed to incur even some of Soros’s disapproval.
In remarks to Fox News Digital, Horner noted the “striking” nature of Soros’s commentary.
“That even George Soros is calling out progressive darling BlackRock for craven blundering is striking – even if it did carry the requisite, tribal praise for BlackRock’s truly damaging ‘ESG’ (environmental, social and governance) campaigning to impose their shared ‘climate’ agenda on the U.S., an agenda also much to China’s delight,” Horner mused.
“That it appears Soros received counsel from Gary Gensler on the mega-donor’s call for more SEC powers as a result is truly astonishing,” Horner continued.
It is in indeed, especially if the SEC is allegedly a non-partisan federal agency.
Sadly, alongside the FBI, CIA, NSA, DOJ, and a number of other federal entities, it appears that the SEC is taking clear cues from the Dems.
Given that Gensler was an Obama official, it should have been obvious from the start that a nonpartisan SEC would clearly be a nonstarter with him at the helm.
“This gives further credence to the widespread concern that Gensler is deeply politicizing a supposedly independent commission. He may have been Hillary Clinton’s ‘Progressive Beacon’ not long ago, but Gary Gensler is now the SEC chairman, and his calendar indicates he knew the purpose of the meeting,” Horner continued.
Of course he knew the purpose. That’s why he ensured the meetings were covered up from the public
“It seems important to know whose idea this was, why, what was said arranging it and through what channel,” Horner added.
It is incredibly important to know all of these details, but don’t count on any transparency from the Dems.
After all, their entire political careers appear to be fixated on coverups.
Covering up laptops, covering up real “science,” covering up Biden’s mishaps, and covering up pretty much everything else remotely truthful in favor of the routine smoke and mirrors offered by salacious “news” outlets (i.e., CNN, MSNBC, and so forth).
In addition to Soros and Clinton, Pelosi also apparently met with Gensler in September 2021, and, rather unsurprisingly, that meeting was hidden from the public as well.
Interesting.
Humorously, while the SEC can apparently operate with no transparency, the federal agency apparently wants no stone unturned when it comes to any American entrepreneur attempting to create their own business.
Which is precisely why Republicans have introduced measures to limit the power of the SEC, rather than enhance it, as Soros demands.
Representatives Bill Huizenga and Andy Barr have already introduced legislation designed to limit the SEC’s ability to continue making life difficult for small business owners.
In remarks to Fox News Business, Huizenga spelled out his issues with the SEC, especially in terms of limiting economic freedom.
“American job creators are under constant assault from the heavy-handed regulatory approach of the Securities and Exchange Commission under Gary Gensler. Nowhere is this more evident than the SEC’s clear desire to massively expand disclosure requirements. Such an expansion would not only damage our economy, but it would also negatively impact small businesses and make it more difficult for investors to retire with financial security,” Huizenga detailed.
Billionaires like Soros will likely never have to worry about financial security, though small business owners certainly cannot say the same.
Especially when the pandemic policies, several of which have now been proven to be total nonsense, appeared expressly designed to kill small- and medium-sized businesses.
Almost as if the Democrats want Americans to become completely and totally dependent on the government forever … for mere peanuts, while the environmentalist elites routinely take private jets all over the world.
