Border Patrol Admits Loss Of “Operational Control”

One of the many legacies of Biden’s presidency includes his impressive signing of seventeen executive orders on his first day in office.

In contrast, Trump signed one on his first day, which pertained to the border wall, clearly fulfilling a campaign promise.

Biden, on the other hand, fixated on transgender bathrooms and destroying many elements of the Trump legacy, including a much more secure border.

So he decided it would be a great idea to destroy Trump’s plans for the border and halt construction, further emboldening ruthless cartels and amplifying the number of illegal border crossings since Biden entered the presidency.

And what a tale this terrible policy can tell, given the recent revelations during the House Homeland Security Committee hearing recently held in McAllen, Texas.

The intent of the hearing is “to examine the direct link between President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas’ reckless border policies and the unprecedented crisis at our Southwest border,” which means that quite a few staggering truths were revealed.

Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz to admit that DHS had lost “operational control” of the border during the recent hearing.

When asked whether or not DHS maintains “operational control,” Ortiz flatly responded, “no sir.”

“About ten years ago, we used operational control as a measuring stick of our effectiveness along the southwest border. My new strategy is geared towards mission advantage,” Ortiz observed.

Ortiz also admits that he completely disagrees with DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who has the gall to claim that the federal agency maintains control of the border.

“The migration flow represents challenges, and, in some areas, a crisis situation,” Ortiz continued, with some of the clear “challenges” including human smuggling, drugs trafficking, and a number of other unsavory activities.

“I do not believe in a wall from sea to shining sea, but I do believe in infrastructure and barrier systems in concentrated areas, especially urban areas,” Ortiz added pointedly.

The DHS predictably defended its position, having the gall to claim that it had inherited a “dismantled” system from the Trump administration.

“Despite inheriting a dismantled immigration system and facing unprecedented migration that is affecting nations throughout the Western Hemisphere, this administration has surged resources to the border, reducing the number of encounters between ports of entry, disrupting more smuggling operations than ever before, and interdicting more drugs in the last two years than had been stopped in the five years prior,” a DHS spokesperson sniffed.

Predictably, not a single Democrat attended the hearing, claiming that it was little more than “partisan games.”

More like a crucial national security concern, but Dems clearly don’t wish to alienate their future voting base.
