When even a world-famous scientist like Richard Dawkins speaks out, we ought to pay attention. Dawkins, known for his work in evolutionary biology and his strong defense of science, is now warning the world about something deeply troubling: the rise of transgender ideology and how it’s being used to twist and deny scientific truth.
In a recent interview with London’s *Daily Telegraph*, Dawkins didn’t hold back. He said plainly, “Trans women are men.” That may sound shocking to some ears today, but it’s a simple statement of biological fact. A man cannot become a woman just by saying so or by undergoing surgery. Science has always been clear on this. There are two sexes—male and female—and that is rooted in our biology, not our feelings.
Dawkins is sounding the alarm on what he calls “postmodernism,” a way of thinking that says truth is just a matter of opinion. According to this view, if someone feels like a woman, then they are one. But as Dawkins rightly points out, that’s not how science works. Feelings don’t change facts. Biology doesn’t bend to beliefs.
This isn’t just about words. When we call a man a woman, it leads to real problems. Dawkins warns that this idea “logically entails the right to enter women’s sporting events, women’s changing rooms, women’s prisons and so on.” That’s not just unfair—it’s dangerous. Women fought hard for their rights and for safe spaces where they could compete and live without fear. Now those rights are being weakened in the name of political correctness.
Even more troubling, Dawkins says young people in publishing are trying to control what can and can’t be said. They want to silence voices that disagree with radical gender theories. This is a form of censorship that has no place in a free society. Science and truth must never be shut down because someone’s feelings might be hurt.
He also points to how women like JK Rowling and Professor Kathleen Stock have been targeted for speaking the truth. These women have stood up for biological reality, and the response has been vicious. They’ve been harassed, threatened, and even forced out of their jobs. It’s clear: this ideology hurts women the most.
But there is some good news. In Britain, the tide may be turning. In April, the UK Supreme Court ruled that sex is binary—male or female. They made it clear that biological men should not be allowed in women’s spaces, no matter what gender they claim. This ruling defends common sense and the rights of real women.
Not long after, the UK’s Equality and Human Rights Commission said that places like hospitals and shops don’t have to let biological men into women-only areas. The law now supports what most people already know to be true: men and women are different, and women deserve their own spaces.
A medical report from Dr. Hilary Cass also found that so-called “gender-affirming care” for kids is built on shaky ground. Puberty blockers and surgeries are being pushed on young people without solid science to back it up. This is not care; it’s experimentation. And it must stop.
What we’re seeing is a battle between truth and ideology. Richard Dawkins, no conservative and no religious believer, is standing up for truth because he knows what’s at stake. When science is replaced by feelings, and truth is replaced by slogans, freedom suffers. And when women are told they must accept men in their spaces, their rights are the first to go.
We must stand firm. The Constitution protects our right to speak the truth, even when it’s unpopular. Our founders never intended for feelings to override facts. They believed in reason, debate, and the pursuit of truth. That’s the American way. And it’s time we got back to it.
