You know that the Democrats’ obsession with illegal migrants is really bad when so-called “sanctuary state” governors and mayors go out of their way for punishing police officers … for following the law.
That’s right: The Democrats have long made it clear that they’re the party that coddles violent criminals, illegal migrants, and, inexplicably, very wealthy, generally out of touch tech bros.
The “out of touch” being justified by tech bros’ perverse obsession with Democrats in the first place, likely in a demented bid to appear like they care about most people who decline to live in arrogant coastal cities.
That said, the tech bros clearly have more sense than the criminals, hence their decision to act a tad saner during President Donald Trump’s second administration.
Illegal migrants and criminals, on the other hand, are still firmly in the Democrats’ camp … and how could they not be?
As illustrated recently in New York, one of the most virulently pro-illegal migrant states in the nation, a Democrat mayor in Rochester apparently though it was a fantastic idea to fiercely – and very publicly – belittle, if not borderline threaten, police officers who cooperated with federal authorities in dealing with a van full of illegal migrants.
That’s right: The feds called local law enforcement for much-needed backup, then law enforcement complied with the feds. Usually a logical sequence of events.
What is not logical is the third development that followed – Mayor Malik Evans’s absolute denigration of the police who dared to cooperate, as reported by The New York Post.
As detailed in the media outlet, “the completely routine police response was enough to raise the ire of Democratic Rochester Mayor Malik Evans, who held a press conference on the incident Wednesday.”
Of course, some Democrat mayor will literally hold a press conference to blast police for following the law … which is exactly what he did.
“The officers on the scene verbally directed the occupants to get out of the vehicle, and this is against our policy,” Evans raged.
Oh, wow! Police dared to ask suspected criminals – illegal criminals, no less – to get out of the vehicle? How horrific!
“Our policy is crystal clear. City police officers do not help or participate in federal immigration activities,” Evans snarled.
Wow. Astonishing just how public the Dems really are about their lawlessness at this point, aren’t they?
Well, Mr. Evans, perhaps you should be aware of the “crystal clear” reason the Dems lost the election – and will continue losing – the liberals’ absolute obsession with coddling illegals, to the expense of all others.
Heck, Governor Gruesome of California recently made headlines for admitting that illegal migrants have eaten so much into the system that taxpaying California residents are now having difficulty receiving healthcare services … standing in rather sharp contrast to Governor Ron DeSantis, who just returned nearly $900M to the federal government.
Meanwhile, Newsom wants billions more for his illegals.
Or, per Newsom, illegal migrants are a “partial” reason for why Californians now cannot access necessary services … that they actually paid for via exorbitant taxes.
Yes, that is a “crystal clear” reason why the Democrats are steadily losing their base.
DEI madness is another reason.
And yes, in case you were wondering, Mayor Malik Evans is a rather predictable DEI politician, following the same DEI playbook – coddling illegal migrants, or future voters, at all costs.
Especially if handing out citizenship to illegals ever occurs under some liberal administration … which means they can further invade traditionally red states.
On top of that, many DEI politicians appear to have a decidedly anti-police bent – AOC, anyone? – so it’s even less of a surprise that some DEI mayor in New York would harass cops while turning a blind eye to a van full of illegal migrants.
For all Evans knows, those migrants could have been terrorists about to launch an attack, or planning to launch one, yet he’s far more concerned with blasting beleaguered law enforcement officers from his remarkably cushy office and undeservedly luxurious lifestyle.
Thanks to the taxpayers that he declines to protect, all in favor of illegal criminals …
