Empress Pelosi Accused Of Sabotaging High-Level DEI Dem Leader

“Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), the iconic San Francisco liberal who has led congressional Democrats for two decades and broke the glass ceiling as the first woman to control the House of Representatives, said on Thursday she’ll step aside as leader at the end of the 117th Congress.”

So reported Axios in 2022, specifically with regards to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi allegedly stepping down from Democrat leadership in Congress, after twenty years at the helm of her former leadership position.

However, while Pelosi may not be the official leader, she sure still acts like one.

According to a rather humorous report from the New York Post in 2025, Pelosi is not only refusing to relinquish her (quite strong) unofficial power, but she is also more than happy to steamroll over a high-level DEI Democrat leader to do so.

“Nancy Pelosi is adamant she won’t release her grip on the Democratic Party despite their resounding defeat in 2024 and a growing chorus urging her to step down … Younger members of the party and even current House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries believe it’s time for a refresh and new leadership, according to sources, but Pelosi insists on business as usual,” the New York Post reported.

Well then. Talk about tone deaf.

After all, the Dems cannot scream endlessly about DEI … when their long-term leader has no issue, whatsoever, steamrolling right over him.

Little wonder that one former New York City lawmaker, a Democrat, was rather blunt in the assessment of Pelosi’s behavior towards Hakeem.

“Hakeem [Jeffries] wants her out … Nancy has her hand in every decision he makes as leader. She just can’t help herself,” the lawmaker fumed.

Naturally, Jeffries currently cannot go on the record himself regarding Pelosi, which is precisely why his spokesperson released a more neutral statement.

“Leader Jeffries has repeatedly and publicly made clear that he and House Democrats are proud to stand on the historic shoulders of Nancy D’Alesandro Pelosi,” the spokesperson cautiously remarked.

Willie Brown, the former mayor of San Francisco notorious for “dating” Kamala Harris was perhaps the bluntest of all.

“As long as Nancy takes a breath, she is going to do what she wants to do,” Brown boomed.

Well, that’s for sure. Looks like the perception of Pelosi is a clear point of agreement between Brown and many others.

However, Brown might want to rethink some other remarks.

“She’s the heart and soul of the Democratic Party, particularly for Californians,” Brown declared.

Is that so?

Because it would appear that even Californians, especially from younger generations, believe otherwise … in particular when Pelosi has apparently decided to run for Congress, again, in 2026.

“Despite having just turned 85, the Speaker Emerita – as Pelosi calls herself – has already filed paperwork in November to run for Congress in 2026 and has nearly $10 million in her campaign coffers, according to the Federal Election Commission,” the New York Post detailed.

Needless to say, more than one Californian Democrat is not exactly pleased.

Saikat Chakrabarti, who is one of Pelosi’s main opponents in the 2026, made it rather clear that Pelosi hardly gives off “caring for the working class” vibes.

“I really feel like the Democrats actually need to become a party that’s fighting tooth and nail for the working class and middle class right now,” Chakrabarti asserted.

Succinct translation: Pelosi is too elitist.

Chakrabarti also takes issue with the fact that Pelosi apparently believes that “the Democrats don’t really need to change.”

“You know, that they ran a great race, did their best, and nothing needs to change. That was the first warning sign to me,” Chakrabarti remarked in disgust.

The first warning sign? With respect, Chakrabarti, there were many warning signs regarding Pelosi yearsbefore the utterly disastrous Kamala Harris campaign.

Jake Rakov, who is angling for a seat in Southern California, is another Democrat unafraid to criticize Pelosi.

“I am running because the Democratic Party needs a new generation to step up … Nancy Pelosi has been there for a great long time, and she has done amazing things, but right now we need new energy for Congress,” Rakov asserted.

Will Pelosi listen to younger generations?

Considering she blew off the Supreme Court about rent moratoriums during COVID, she may well blow off younger Democrats even more aggressively.
