Former First Buddy Follows Through On Major Threat Against Trump

For anyone unsure about where President Donald Trump and former “First Buddy” Elon Musk stand, wonder no further.

Starting with an emphasis on former.

Trump and Musk certainly seemed to strike a strong connection just under a year ago, after the tech titan unequivocally endorsed the then-presidential candidate for the Republican Party.

And that bond continued well into and after Trump’s inauguration, especially given Musk’s efforts undertaken during his brief tenure with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

However, the emphasis on efficiency left Musk less than keen on the “big, beautiful bill,” which will apparently add trillions to national debt.

Trillions that Trump campaigned against when running against Kamala Harris.

However, following Musk’s public tirade against the bill, Trump responded in kind, and Musk backed down.

At one point, Musk almost appeared to be reconciling with Trump, expressing seeming regret over the fallout via social media.

That said, it would appear that Musk’s initial response to the “big, beautiful bill” – chiefly that it was a “disgusting abomination” – appears to have left the most lasting impression upon the tech mogul.

Especially as he announced the creation of a third political party near-immediately after the “big, beautiful bill” was finally passed.

According to a startling report from Politico, Musk has gone straight ahead into launching his own political party.

“Elon Musk declared the launch of his new political party on Saturday, a project he has repeatedly floated in the weeks since his explosive breakup with President Donald Trump … The billionaire entrepreneur and onetime Republican megadonor – who mere months ago appeared as the president’s right-hand man in the Oval Office after pouring millions into his campaign – has for weeks publicly contemplated starting a new third party to disrupt the current system,” Politico continued.

In other words, Musk follow through on his threat against the president.

The media outlet also noted that Musk apparently “provided no details as to how he planned to jump through the hoops necessary to establish a viable alternative,” though the tech titan made swift moves shortly thereafter.

And the swiftness was evident from Musk’s first social media post, which all but foretold in his initial social media furor that arguably catalyzed movement on the third political party in the first place.

After asking his followers whether or not a new political party should be formed, Musk triumphantly reported that his followers are apparently sick of the current two-party system.

Or “uniparty” or “one-party” system, per Musk.

“By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it! When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy. Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom,” Musk proclaimed on X.

A separate report from Politico noted that Musk would have immense difficulty getting a brand-new political party off the ground, especially within a remarkably narrow time frame.

As detailed by Libertarian National Committee Chair Steven Nekhaila.

“Making a new third party would be a mistake … There’s no way an independent or a new party can actually [secure ballot access in almost every state]. It takes years and years and years, and the infrastructure and everything else. It’s not a fun process,” Nekhaila warned.

Naturally, Nekhaila believes that Musk’s objectives would align effectively with the Libertarians.

“The Libertarian Party is the most set-up party to be the dissident subversive party,” Nekhaila asserted.

However, Musk has steamed ahead with his own party, undertaking the first crucial steps towards political viability.

“Musk officially filed a Statement of Organization Sunday with the Federal Election Commission for his ‘America Party’ political party after weeks of threatening the GOP,” the Daily Mail reported.

Well then. That’s that, as far as the Libertarians are concerned … as Musk is forging straight ahead with his own political plans.

What impact, if any, will the America Party have upon future elections?

Time remains to tell, but it would appear that Musk is preparing for a long haul battle …

Though the ultimate goal of said battle remains unclear.
