Gingrich Flogs FBI’s “Political Theater”

According to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, the FBI’s remarkable raid on former President Donald J. Trump’s residence is little more than “political theater.”

To Gingrich, the antics constitute little more than “institutional warfare” against the former president.

“You have stuff being done by the FBI that makes no sense if it’s a law enforcement agency and every sense if it’s an institution waging war against Donald Trump,” Gingrich remarked amusedly on the “Life, Liberty & Levin” program on Fox News.

The raid, coupled with the redacted affidavit, may result in a biased grand jury trial for the former president in Washington, D.C., though his supporters are well aware of the masquerade being conducted at the highest level of government.

Gingrich notes that the ploy is obvious.

“You just have to assume this is a part of a vicious, deliberate, ongoing struggle, which I predict will lead them to try to indict President Trump in a D.C. jury, in a district in which he got 5.6 percent of the vote,” Gingrich added, pointing out that a grand jury would be remarkably biased towards the former president.

The FBI raid has been widely considered an attempt to block Trump from seeking reelection in 2024.
