Gun Sales Soar To New Heights

Despite the Democrats’ demands, firearms sales in the United States have soared to new heights, with the month of May marking the 34th month in a row that gun sales across the United States have topped 1 million.

The FBI proclaimed that it had conducted approximately 2.4 million background checks in May, which is the third-highest total number of checks the agency has ever conducted in a month.

“Background checks for firearm sales remain strong,” Mark Oliva, a National Shooting Sports Foundation representative, declared.

“May marks 34 months that background checks for the sale of a firearm exceeded 1 million,” Oliva continued.

The reasons for the acceleration in firearms sales are numerous, with Oliva remarking that Americans are continuing to purchase firearms at elevated levels in order to protect themselves, with full intentions of using their guns lawfully.

Oliva also notes that the vast majority of individuals procuring guns resoundingly reject the assumption that they are remotely comparable with criminals who procure guns illegally or who otherwise commit horrific acts, such as mass shootings.

“The tragic events in Buffalo, New York, and Uvalde, Texas, are sobering reminders that there are those in our society who have no respect for the law or innocent lives,” Oliva continued in remarks to Newsmax, adding that every American who adheres to the law has the right to defend themselves and their loved ones against the growing violence across the nation.

Oliva directly references the Second Amendment of the United States, which asserts that Americans have the right to “keep and bear arms,” a right that “shall not be infringed” by federal powers.

At this juncture in time, no active member of the NRA has ever been implicated in a mass shooting that has occurred in the United States.

Nonetheless, despite this reality, the NRA continues to bear a significant swathe of public wrath following virtually any tragic mass shooting.
