Pelosi Doubles Down On Duplicitous Power

Madame House Speaker wasted no time in doubling down on the duplicitous power grab that the Democrats have become known for, making a bevy of uncontested appearances on various mainstream media outlets over the weekend.

Ms. Nancy Pelosi made some of her more audacious remarks on Sunday, including her basic self-endorsement during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” with host Dana Bash.

In typical CNN fashion, Pelosi basically had a platform for yammering away about her likely future as House Speaker, especially if Democrats astonishingly manage to retain control of the House in addition to the Senate.

When asked about whether or not she would pursue the speakership of the House again, Pelosi effectively batted her eyelashes and proclaimed that while she herself is not making any moves on the position, quite a few people clearly are … on her behalf, of course.

“Of course. Well, you know that I’m not asking anybody – People are campaigning, and that’s a beautiful thing. And I’m not asking anyone for anything. My members are asking me to consider doing that. But, again, let’s just get through the (midterm) election,” Pelosi proclaimed.

Right. Such a “beautiful thing” that so many are apparently campaigning for same old, same old.

Which is precisely why Pelosi can appear to publicly flirt with leadership while clearly continuing to aggressively pursue it behind the scenes.

“Any decision to run is about family, and also my colleagues and what we want to do is go forward in a very unified way, as we go forward to prepare for the Congress at hand,” Pelosi brayed.

“Very unified.” Right. Provided that all “unity” swings firmly in Pelosi’s favor.

And, in case anyone was doubting where Pelosi really leans, Madame House Speaker apparently couldn’t resist emphasizing how likely her pursuit of power will be, given that a “presidential election” is now right around the corner.

“Nonetheless, a great deal is at stake because we’ll be in a presidential election. So my decision will again be rooted in the wishes of my family and the wishes of my caucus. But none of it will be very much considered until we see what the outcome of all of this is. And there are all kinds of ways to exert influence,” Pelosi smirked.

You don’t say.

One thing is for certain: Pelosi certainly didn’t shy away from “exerting influence” when it came to her utterly shameless promotion of Biden 2024 during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week.”

During her chatter with host George Stephanopoulos, apparently one of the few hosts that Biden will grant the periodic interview, Pelosi had yet another uncontested platform where she blared about all the propaganda that has come to characterize the current White House Press Secretary’s tenure.

“President Biden has been a great president for our country. Over 10 million jobs under his leadership. Working with the private sector, of course. He has just done so many things that are so great,” Pelosi boomed.

One almost wonders if Pelosi is attempting to get under the skin of her nemesis, former President Donald Trump, with her repeated use of the word “great.”

“[Biden] has made America independent by passing the CHIPS bill that says we’re no longer reliant on those who would withhold products that enable us to manufacture in our country,” Pelosi trilled.

Say what?

Chip companies still depend heavily on Taiwan for manufacturing, and various companies continue to try to sell to China while marginally adhering to minimum sanction requirements.

Moreover, Biden certainly made the United States remarkably dependent on foreign oil, right in time for a major international war that would drive up the price of oil.

Anyone betting on oils futures certainly lucked out, that’s for sure.

“The [Inflation Reduction Act] … $368 billion in good-paying green jobs, clean air, clean water for our children, national security issue to stop migrations and competition for habitat and food, as well as honoring our responsibility to future generations,” Pelosi continued.

Ah, the wildly unpopular, classic “spend to prosperity” act.

Got it.

Pelosi also prattled on about supposedly honoring veterans, as well as a heavy emphasis on all the “inclusiveness” the Biden administration is allegedly known for.

“The PACT Act, honoring our veterans, the bipartisan infrastructure bill, all of it with justice, with equity, with inclusiveness, with diversity, taking us to a new place. He has been a great president and he has a great record to run on,” Pelosi blithered.

Needless to say, Mr. Stephanopoulos remained largely silent the entire time, basically smiling and nodding at all Pelosi’s inanity.

Not once, for instance, did the host bother to question Pelosi on why she was shamelessly promoting Biden 2024 when the House has yet to be called … especially when an estimated two-thirds of voters indicated they did not want to see a repeat of Biden in 2024.

In fact, CNN ran an absurdly titled opinion piece, “Voters sent Joe Biden a clear message on Tuesday. Can he just ignore it?”, which effectively spells out the media elites’ lack of concern for American voters.

Almost as if CNN, Pelosi, Biden, and likeminded entities could collectively care less what the voters want …
