Gotta love it when a woke addition to the Biden regime’s Cabinet is called out for anything but being woke by various angry mobs.
Specifically, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg might want to rethink his (taxpayer-funded) private jet use, not to mention his largely meaningless overtures to the environment.
After all, it appears that at least one rabid group certainly isn’t buying it.
In fact, more than one rabid group is apparently willing to literally chase Buttigieg off the stage if he isn’t performing in as fascist a manner as possible, as well as accuse him of racism while doing so.
And that’s precisely what just occurred during another yet one of Buttigieg’s empty suit public performances.
Buttigieg was at the pretentious Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall to deliver varying empty platitudes, though he had a rather abrupt wakeup call when his otherwise bland, clearly ghostwritten speech was besieged by activists.
“Over a dozen activists stormed the stage while Buttigieg was speaking and ran him out of the event. The protesters demanded that the transportation secretary end two proposed oil transport projects that the Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration is reviewing,” The Blaze observed.
Well then. That escalated quickly.
Climate Defiance, a left-wing youth-led organization, whose stated mission is to “end fossil fuels,” flew into a rage upon seeing Buttigieg, apparently because he isn’t radical enough for them.
“Your DOT just approved the Seaport Oil Terminal, a project that will have 80 coal plants’ worth of greenhouse gas emissions and will worsen air quality in areas that already live in cancer clusters,” the leftist youth raged.
Of course, the rabid leftists weren’t just satisfied with screaming at Buttigieg over his climate-related decisions; they flew into a rage over the Transportation Secretary’s apparent “racism” as well.
“This is about environmental racism, and it’s about climate impacts this project will have. Will you commit to stopping these projects?” the leftists screamed.
Pretty rich feedback to Buttigieg, who previously lambasted the alleged “racism” of American infrastructure.
“Which side are you on, Pete? Which side are you on?” the activists continued to scream.
On his part, Buttigieg merely muttered that he didn’t want to “say anything off the cuff.”
Translation: No ghostwritten remarks were prepared for dealing with militant leftists, as Buttigieg was prepping to deliver just another garden variety, ultimately empty, speech.
Climate Defiance, however, was elated that it succeeded in chasing Buttigieg off the stage following his “off the cuff” jabbering, which they boasted about on social media.
“We just chased Secretary Pete Buttigieg off the stage at the Meyerhoff Symphony … Petro Pete is a coward,” the group crowed.
At last, a point of agreement between conservatives and rabid leftists. A small point.
Blasting Buttigieg as a “finger-to-the-wind politician,” the group continued to rant and rave over Buttigieg’s decisions, all of which are likely made by Biden’s puppet masters anyway.
“As we write he is ramming down our throats the Sea Port and GulfLink oil terminals – each worse than Keystone. We must resist him with all we’ve got. And we will,” the leftists added ominously.
Looks like the group is set to disrupt additional political speeches in the future as well, judging from their stated threats.
“Direct action is the fastest and most efficient way to spur change. 30 of us took over Pete’s speech and it made a bigger impression than 1000s signing petitions or protesting on a sidewalk would have,” the group bragged.
Perhaps they’ll take aim at bungling Biden next, once they’re done “decimating” Buttigieg, apparently.
“We are explicitly committed to ending the careers and decimating the reputations of those who disagree with us,” the militant leftists added ominously.
“Decimating the reputations of those who disagree with us.” Now, that sounds familiar … kind of like the Ivy League brats who refused to “accept” Trump’s victory in 2016.
