White House Press Sec Walloped By Hatch Act Violations

Rather humorously, it looks like White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who does a better job preening for awards shows than addressing the press, has been busted in yet another snafu.

As it turns out, her sneering dismissal of “mega MAGA Republicans” before the 2022 midterms apparently constitutes a mega violation of the Hatch Act.

As noted by the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, the Hatch Act can be summarized as follows:

“The Hatch Act restricts the political activity of individuals principally employed by state, District of Columbia, or local executive agencies and who work in connection with programs financed in whole or in part by federal loans or grants. Usually, employment with a state, D.C., or local agency constitutes the principal employment of the employee in question.”

As Ms. Jean-Pierre currently serves as a paid employee of D.C., she clearly attempted to use her podium for influencing “political activity.”

Poorly.

The same Office of Special Counsel is also the entity that blasted Jean-Pierre for her brazen disregard of the Hatch Act and all its implications.

“Because Ms. Jean‐Pierre made the statements while acting in her official capacity, she violated the Hatch Act prohibition against using her official authority or influence for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the result of an election,” the office noted.

And how obviously she violated the act.

Just consider the following absurd commentary before the midterm elections:

“Unfortunately, we have seen mega MAGA Republican officials who don’t believe in the rule of law. They refuse to accept the results of free and fair elections and they fan the flames of political violence through what they praise and what they refuse to condemn. It remains important for the President to state strongly and unequivocally that violence has no place in our democracy,” Jean-Pierre declared.

By all means, Ms. Jean-Pierre, continue to ramble on about “mega MAGA Republicans,” directly mimicking Biden while simultaneously violating the law.

Nice work.

Especially since Jean-Pierre has used the Hatch Act herself as justification for dodging questions, it is rather humorous that she herself has now been caught up with her disregard of the law when it suits her.

Needless to say, quite a few commenters on the Fox News article had a field day with her nonsense.

“When people get used to preferential treatment, equal treatment seems like discrimination,” one commenter remarked.

Indeed it does. After all, different groups have entirely different expectations to adhere to when entering elite universities, so they naturally expect such special treatment in all other endeavors.

Heck, if any other “charity” stole $90M in highly publicized donations, as BLM did, all the founders would be in jail.

Especially if the charity were designed for a remotely conservative cause.

Alas, BLM is apparently getting away with stealing money the same way they get away with instigating extreme violence against police and other crimes.

“Our system is broke. Obama got his way when he said he would ‘fundamentally change this country’ and this administration is putting the nail in the coffin,” another commenter observed.

Sadly, that also appears to be true.

After all, Obama has bragged about Biden “finishing the job” of his administration … and Ms. Jean-Pierre is a perfect lemming to assist in that nefarious agenda.
