White House Whips Up Freshly Federalized Forces In Crime-Filled City

From the west coast to the east coast, it is rather clear that President Donald Trump is not playing around when it comes to crime and illegal immigration.

Trump is also not playing around when it comes to various individuals who attempt to thwart his agenda, from the mayors of sanctuary cities to the judges appointed by leftists.

While much of the nation’s attention focused upon the deployment of the U.S. Marines to Los Angeles earlier this summer, the White House also had its eye on other “hot spots” filled with crime.

And one of those major hot spots is none other than Washington, D.C.

Trump perceives the crime rates in Washington, D.C. as unacceptable, though some have countered his perception.

The Hill noted that crime rates in the national capital had declined by 35 percent relative to 2024, apparently reaching a 30-year low.

However, fears of violence resurfaced after Trump posted photos of a bloodied Edward Coristine, a former DOGE staffer who had been beaten by a group of teenaged hoodlums attempting a carjacking.

And that carjacking is precisely why Trump has opted to federalize law enforcement in Washington, D.C. … at least for a select period of time.

“If D.C. doesn’t get its act together, and quickly, we will have no choice but to take Federal control of the City, and run this City how it should be run, and put criminals on notice that they’re not going to get away with it anymore. Perhaps it should have been done a long time ago, then this incredible young man, and so many others, would not have had to go through the horrors of Violent Crime. If this continues, I am going to exert my powers, and FEDERALIZE this City. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump roared on Truth Social.

Interestingly enough, tech titan Elon Musk also chimed in, offering full support for Trump’s desire to militarize the nation’s capital.

“A few days ago, a gang of about a dozen young men tried to assault a woman in her car at night in DC. A @Doge team member saw what was happening, ran to defend her and was severely beaten to the point of concussion, but he saved her. It is time to federalize DC,” Musk gravely intoned on X.

Which is precisely what Trump just did.

“The enhanced federal presence … will be led by the U.S. Park Police and will include officers and agents from the FBI, DEA, ATF, divisions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other agencies,” The Hill detailed.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt gleefully reported on the development, highlighting the newfound safety that many might start to feel in the nation’s capital.

“Washington, DC is an amazing city, but it has been plagued by violent crime for far too long. President Trump has directed an increased presence of federal law enforcement to protect innocent citizens. Starting tonight, there will be no safe harbor for violent criminals in D.C. … President Trump is committed to making our Nation’s capital safer for its residents, lawmakers, and visitors from all around the world,” Leavitt asserted.

It remains unclear how long the heightened police presence will remain, though one can only hope that such lofty goals are achieved.
