Woke University Professor Launches Violent Assault Against Students

It’s bad enough when university professors brainwash students, but it’s especially bad when they begin to use physical violence alongside their longstanding verbal rhetoric.

According to a report from the New York Post, “the chair of the English Department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has been placed on administrative leave after allegedly flipping the College Republicans’ table on campus Tuesday morning.”

Classy. Not only was it a professor that overturned a table, but the department chair.

Way to set an example for other professors to follow.

Indeed, the English Department Chair, who has since been identified as José Felipe Alvergue, apparently has a burning hatred for anything related to Republicans, as evidenced by his violent assault on a table.

Tatiana Bobrowicz, the student who serves as the UW-Eau Claire College Republicans Chair, was obviously rather distressed by the “violent attack” against students.

“A professor came up and flipped our table in a violent attack towards us. This is unacceptable. The university has since confirmed that this attacker was the chair of the university’s English Department. Once again, this type of violent attack will not be tolerated,” Bobrowicz proclaimed.

Naturally, the university was even edgier than Bobrowicz, especially given the current administration’s focus on the troubling ways of educational institutions.

And, to give credit to the university, officials acted swiftly, placing Alvergue on administrative leave.

Near immediately after the incident, UW-Eau Claire Interim Provost Michael Carney expressed his “deep concern.”

“I am deeply concerned that our students’ peaceful effort to share information on campus on election day was disrupted. UW-Eau Claire strongly supports every person’s right to free speech and free expression, and the university remains committed to ensuring that campus is a place where a wide variety of opinions and beliefs can be shared and celebrated,” Carney declared.

Indeed.

A wide variety of opinions and beliefs should be welcomed within both parties, including both Republicans and Democrats alike.

Any Republican or Democrat that is actively stifling free speech or debate, whether it’s a president or whether it’s a state-level level legislator, should reorient themselves around the real meaning of the First Amendment.

Which is why Carney, regardless of his own political beliefs, has promptly suspended Alvergue.

“Civil dialogue is a critical part of the university experience, and peaceful engagement is fundamental to learning. We are working with the Universities of Wisconsin and the Office of General Counsel, which is conducting a comprehensive investigation of this matter. The faculty member involved has been placed on administrative leave pending that investigation,” Carney added.

With any luck, the results of that investigation will warrant the permanent removal of Alvergue from his post, as he clearly cannot control himself around conservative students.
