As noted by multiple media outlets in recent weeks, the Democrats have been suffering from ever-declining approval ratings.
In fact, the Wall Street Journal reported that the Democrat Party has just suffered from its lowest approval rating in 35 years … which is a fairly large blow.
And part of the reason why that rating is so low is due to the fact that voters apparently trust the Republican Party far more with core issues that ultimately “decide the elections” – such as economic issues – per the Wall Street Journal report.
For this reason, even voters who are reportedly disgruntled with Trump are apparently even more disgruntled with the directionless approach taken by the Democrats over the last several months.
One would think that such a recent report would inspire the Democrat Party to begin crafting a solid, multifaceted policy that provides comprehensive consideration for the needs of all Americans.
Unfortunately, it would appear that the Democrat Party has opted to continue focusing much of its attention on Trump, especially with the ongoing saga over Jeffrey Epstein.
And this focus has apparently become so obvious that even somewhat objective media publications are calling out the Democrats for their “arcane gambit.”
The use of the word “arcane” is rather humorous, considering that Merriam-Webster has defines “arcane” as “mysterious” and “obscure,” as well as “knowable to only a few people.”
In other words, most voters could probably care less, especially in the long term.
“Democrats … ramped up pressure on Republicans over the Jeffrey Epstein files, turning to an arcane rule to attempt to force the release of the documents that have become a significant pain point for the Trump administration and Republicans,” The Hill reported.
This “arcane plan” apparently involves the use of the “Rule of Five,” which dates back to 1928.
Under this rule, government agencies are forced to hand over information if any five lawmakers on either the House or Senate panel request them … and Democrats are hoping to apply the law to the remaining Epstein files.
Thus far, Senator Chuck Schumer, who has apparently abandoned earlier efforts to work with the Trump administration, has opted to lead to spearhead this divisive effort.
Regardless of whether or not it may even succeed in the judicial system.
Per The Hill, “the rule is relatively untested in the courts, but that isn’t stopping Democrats from using it to turn the screws on an issue that has divided the GOP.”
So, in other words, the Democrats are more focused on dividing the GOP in an effort to win back voters via attrition than winning back voters via policy. A real effective long-term strategy … Not.
“This is not complicated … Every single time Trump, his administration [and] Republican leaders have had a chance to be transparent about the Epstein files, they’ve chosen to hide,” Schumer asserted during a press conference.
Right. By all means, continue with focusing on the “Rule of Five,” rather than concrete policies to help all Americans thrive.
Indeed, Elon Musk really did set off an Epstein firestorm with his startling social media megaphone in June.
The aftermath of that meltdown is continuing to rattle Republicans and “inspire” Democrats to this day.
However, that inspiration is somewhat hilariously considered little more than an “arcane gambit” by the media.
