Leftist Militants Demand $15B In Reparations From “White Churches”

Alleged “religious leaders” in the Sanctuary City of Boston have declared that so-called “white churches” should apparently dole out $15B in reparations.

While the demands for reparations from taxpayers were bad, the demands for reparations from “white churches” hits a special level of inanity.

These demands surfaced during an event organization by the Boston People’s Reparations Commission, which was held at the Resurrection Lutheran Church.

The event featured several beyond woke speakers, all of whom apparently feel justified in their truly astounding demands.

Alas, Reverend Kevin Peterson is apparently convinced that “white churches” must pay, to the tune of billions.

“We call sincerely and with a heart filled with faith and Christian love for our white churches to join us and not be silent around this issue of racism and slavery and commit to reparations,” Peterson brayed.

Well then. Way to link “white churches” to slavery, especially as many “white churches” today are deeply involved with helping improve communities, both locally through service and globally through missions.

“We point to them in Christian love to publicly atone for the sins of slavery and we ask them to publicly commit to a process of reparations … Where they will extend their great wealth – tens of millions of dollars among some of those churches – into the black community,” Peterson continued.

Seriously?

Given the prevalence of DEI and obvious affirmative action everywhere, it seems rather clear that “reparations” have already occurred in more ways than one.

Another speaker – Baptist leader Archbishop Leo Edward – raged about the fact that the “40 acres and a mule” promised by the government

And he made a bizarre analogy between the government-promised “40 acres and a mule” and the modern prison system.

“You know what is the acres? The prisons! And the mules [are] the prisoners,” Edward ranted.

With respect, the judicial system undoubtedly has issues, as virtually any judicial system does – some worse than others, of course, with justice executed entirely differently in some states compared to others.

That said, the state of prisons cannot, by any means, be blamed on the government, and it definitely cannot be blamed on “white churches.”

Personal accountability, in other words, is still a thing, even if people like to pretend that it isn’t.

Interestingly, Boston is not only a massive sanctuary city, notorious for coddling migrants with catered meals, but it is also led by a mayor with a rather nasty attitude towards white people.

Ms. Michelle Wu, the Mayor of Boston, is infamous for hosting a “no whites” holiday party.

Is it any wonder such demands for billions in reparations from “white churches” should emerge in a city “led” by her?

Frankly, the demands are insane, especially on the heels of all the tax fraud unfortunately committed by BLM.
