In case you’re wondering why at least 81 billionaires backed Comrade Kamala for the 2024 election, wonder no further.
As it seems that Comrade Kamala would have kept the Pentagon coffers open and freely running with handouts, commonly referred to in the press as “aid” to nations in a state of war.
As reported by the Daily Mail, woke British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and equally woke French President Emmanuel Macron are having an apparent “crisis summit” with regards to the U.S. trade war, Ukraine peace deal, and lapsed “Pentagon defence handouts.”
And, rather predictably, a spokesperson for the summit insisted that both leaders wanted Ukraine in the “strongest possible position” before Trump assumes office.
In other words, both leaders want the Pentagon spigot to spew even further, fearing that Trump won’t be so easy of a mark. Or, for that matter, a puppet.
On his part, Trump has already reminded Putin of “Washington’s sizeable military presence in Europe” while also stressing his interest in “the resolution of Ukraine’s war soon.”
And, while Starmer and Macron fret, UK Defence Secretary John Healey seems much more confident about a Trump administration.
“We’ll have to wait and see what President Trump really proposes… but if the reports of his call with (Vladimir) Putin last week are right then President Trump is exactly right to warn Putin against escalation of the conflict in Ukraine,” Healey noted.
Thank you, Healey, for pointing out something sensible.
“And our task as a nation supporting Ukraine, one of its leading supporters, alongside allies like France, is to step up our support to reinforce the position that Ukraine has at this period where it’s under great pressure from Russia,” Healey continued.
Meanwhile, Starmer and Macron may also be fretting, given how deeply unpopular they are in their home countries.
Starmer, who was just elected this year, has apparently managed to alienate most of the UK in a spectacular fashion.
Per a scathing report from the ultra-liberal New Yorker, Starmer has gotten off to a “bafflingly bad start.”
“The first hundred days of the new Labour government have been underwhelming in the extreme. As Prime Minister, Starmer has delivered a minor scandal over alleged corruption, a lot of office gossip, and a depressing atmosphere of economic constraint,” the New Yorker reported.
Surprising commentary, to be frank, considering that Starmer represents the Labour Party, which is effectively the same as the modern-day Democrat Party.
Of course, Macro is also highly notorious, especially when accounting for the protests that have broken out against him for years.
“Macron has been accused of elitism, obnoxiousness and arrogance during his presidency,” CNBC noted.
That’s the nicest way of putting it.
Now, perhaps CNBC can report on why Starmer and Macron seem intent on working against Trump, rather than with Trump.
