Gotta love it when the mayors of openly sanctuary cities begin to rage about migrants heading straight towards … sanctuary cities.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who recently oversaw an effort urging “noncitizens” of New York to vote, is apparently outraged that Texas Governor Greg Abbott is fulfilling his wish of a city filled with illegals by preemptively shipping them all to the Big Apple.
And what a bite the illegal migrants must be taking from that apple, given the recent outrage expressed by Adams towards Abbott.
“He is an anti-American governor that is really going against everything we stand for. And I am going to do everything feasible to make sure the people of Texas realize how harmful he is to us globally,” Adams ranted.
Wow, Adams, just wow.
For a start: No comparison between the number of migrants in New York and the number of migrants overwhelming Texas border towns. None.
Furthermore, Mr. Adams, enjoy the pleasure of not having the cartel literally right next door, free to fire away across the border, which is absolutely the situation Texans are dealing with now.
As for Abbott being “anti-American” … what?
On one hand, we have a governor defending the nation’s borders, and on the other, we have a mayor that welcomes illegals for vote-buying purposes … yet Abbott is the anti-American?
Right.
Abbott himself noted the rather hypocritical stance of Mayor Adams, promptly pointing it out to others.
“New York City is a self-declared ‘sanctuary city,’” Abbott said wryly, “And so why he’s ever complaining for one moment about these people being bused into a city goes against his own self-declaration of being a sanctuary city.”
Seriously. Looks like Adams, like many Democrats, fails to think through rather idiotic schemes, like sanctuary cities and open borders, until the issue is literally right on their doorstep.
“Frankly, I don’t know of a larger crisis facing our country right now,” Abbott continued, “before we began busing migrants to New York, it was just Texas and Arizona that bore the brunt of all the chaos and problems that come with it. Now, the rest of America can understand exactly what is going on.”
Exactly. If anyone is going to draw “global” attention, it will be a typical Democrat that’s all in favor of open borders until reality smacks said Democrat in the face.
Such as D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, who has the gall to demand the Pentagon kowtow to bad Democrat policies.
In a grand total of one week, Bowser has not once, but twice, demanded for the Pentagon to personally assist her with the National Guard: The first request came in August 4, followed by yet another request on August 11.
The August 11 letter was even more dramatic in light of the initial rejection on August 4, as Bowser blared that the National Guard was necessary in order to “help prevent a prolonged humanitarian crisis in our nation’s capital resulting from the daily arrival of migrants.”
This mayor would also be a pro-sanctuary, and supremely anti-Trump, mayor, who is ranting and raving about illegal immigrants that would have been prevented in the first place had she not openly opposed Trump’s wall.
Which is likely why Defense Department executive secretary Kelly Bulliner Holly was not amused by the request.
“The DCNG has no specific experience in or training for this kind of mission or unique skills for providing facility management, feeding, sanitation or ground support,” Holly wrote.
All the more reason the Democrats shouldn’t be demanding to defund ICE and pretty much every other remotely related agency.
“Approval of this request would also result in a substantial readiness impact to the DCNG. Devoting the personnel or the facility for such an extended mission would force the cancellation or disruption of military training,” Holly added.
Only the Democrats can demand diminished readiness from the Pentagon … over their own incompetent policies.
As for Governor Abbott’s next move on the migrant buses?
“Texas will continue busing migrants to NYC & D.C. to help our overrun border communities,” Governor Greg Abbott trilled.
Take that, Democrats.
Perhaps consider shutting deliberately open borders.
