Rand Paul Makes Post-Midterms Promise

While the mainstream media may attempt to hide NIH Director Anthony Fauci’s misdeeds, Senator Rand Paul surely will not, as evidenced by a recent statement issued by the Kentucky Republican.

Fauci recently announced his imminent retirement, declaring that he would step down from his position in December of this year. The timing of Fauci’s retirement is suspect, given that it immediately follows the midterms.

Republicans are widely expected to sweep the midterm elections, barring any Democrat shenanigans with mail-in ballots, polling places, or other election elements.

Paul informed Fauci that his retirement would not in any way, shape, or form preclude an investigation not only into the origins of COVID, but also into the role that Fauci himself may have played.

“Fauci’s resignation will not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic,” Paul wrote on Twitter, “he will be asked to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the lab leak.”

Paul’s statement echoes the sentiments expressed by Republican Representative James Comer, also of Kentucky, who declared that Fauci’s upcoming retirement will not “shield” him from Congressional oversight.

“Emails obtained by Oversight Committee Republicans reveal what Dr. Fauci said publicly about COVID origins was very different than what was said privately,” Comer wrote.

One of the biggest discrepancies between what Fauci said in public and what was discussed in private pertained to the origins of COVID, as revealed by Comer in his email.

“Dr. Fauci was warned by top scientists early on that the virus looked genetically manipulated and likely leaked from the Wuhan lab,” Comer added.

However, regardless of the top scientists’ commentary, Fauci was all too eager to “[dismiss] these ideas in public as conspiracy theories” the representative continued.

This eagerness to dismiss is even more suspect in light of the fact that the NIH appeared to have an overly close relationship with the NIH, as well as the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

“We need to know if Dr. Fauci concealed anything from government officials … to shield the cozy relationship [between] EcoHealth Alliance [and the NIH],” Comer concluded.
