Looks like someone in the Biden regime finally woke up to the fact that the president might want to do more than issue a cold “no comment” to the travesty unfolding across Maui.
Biden, who inflamed the world with his utter disregard for American citizens suffering in Maui, apparently decided to make a statement after all.
Unfortunately, like most of his statements, Biden was clearly unprepared, if not totally unaware of the travesty unfolding across the nation he is supposed to be leading.
During his pitiable speech, Biden rather obviously failed to comfort Maui residents.
After all, the president didn’t even bother to mention Maui.
“The Army helicopters helped fire suppression efforts on the Big Island because there’s still some burning on the Big Island – not the one that, not the one where you see on television all the time,” Biden drawled.
Say what? Is that all the president of the United States has to offer with regards to the deadliest wildfire in modern American history?
And as far as “the one on television all the time,” that would be Maui, Mr. President, if you bothered to do the most basic of basic preparation for your so-called attempts to make things right after your previous “no comment.”
Heck, an 8-year-old probably could have done a better job … At bare minimum, the 8-year-old would at least know that the affected island was Maui, rather than “the one where you see on television all the time.”
Alas, Biden apparently has even more nonsense to offer, including insincere claims that he will visit “Hawaii” (rather than Maui) soon.
“My wife Jill and I are going to travel to Hawaii as soon as we can … That’s what I’ve been talking to the governor about. I don’t want to get in the way. I’ve been to too many disaster areas. But I want to go make sure we got everything they need. Want to be sure we don’t disrupt the ongoing recovery efforts,” Biden babbled.
Wow. Where to begin with that one?
First of all, Biden made similarly insincere promises regarding his supposed visit to East Palestine. Needless to say, he never bothered to show in Ohio, though he sent his designer-heeled, flamboyant Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, to make a wholly ineffectual appearance multiple days later.
Second of all, what’s with the “I’ve been to too many disaster areas” remark?! What else does Biden think the leader of the so-called free world is supposed to do? Avoid people in need? Rather rich of Biden to complain that he’s been to “too many” disaster areas, which means he doesn’t need to bother with Hawaii.
Either that, or Biden could care less because he knows Hawaii has long been a solid blue state, which means he has to do exactly nothing.
Though one can only hope Democrats in Hawaii remember this.
At least Democrat has, anyway, given the recent remarks from Kaniela Ing, a Democrat former member of the Hawaii state legislature.
“I campaigned for you … Now, when I lose dozens of my friends, family, and neighbors – this?” Ing said in disbelief.
Unfortunately, “this” is all Biden has to offer, and don’t expect much else.
