CNN Rewrites The Bill Of Rights … From The Dem Perspective

When it comes to the White House’s desperate need for a massive propagandist outlet, leave it to the Communist News Network (CNN) to take the helm.

Indeed, the Biden administration must be edgy about the upcoming two Supreme Court cases regarding free speech, in particular the swamp’s blatant interference with social media platforms.

Especially as such interference may easily be construed as election interference, with the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story serving as one of the most explicit examples of that level of brazen manipulation.

As CNN was also a major enforcer of the Hunter Biden laptop lie, amongst others, it should come as no surprise that the network is coming out, guns blazing, against the First Amendment, the focal point of the upcoming Supreme Court cases.

The case regarding social media originated with a Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals decision that barred federal agencies, including the White House, from having contact with social media platforms.

Naturally, the left has long denigrated the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, which is laden with law-abiding Trump appointees, as a “MAGA stronghold.”

Unsurprisingly, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals decision is precisely why the case has escalated to the Supreme Court, where justices will determine the degree to which, if any, government officials should be able to intervene in the content disseminated on social media platforms.

As CNN oftentimes reinforces social media disinformation, it’s hardly surprising that the network is all in favor of the government having an all-powerful voice.

The network began with a rather frightening headline, which proclaimed, “Free-speech cases shouldn’t neuter critical power of the government’s voice.”

Is that so?

With respect, CNN, the “critical power of the government’s voice” has been on overload ever since the Obama regime, especially as Biden is now “finishing” none other than Obama’s job, apparently. At least according to Obama himself, as well as Biden for at least half his presidency.

The content of the article itself is even more insane, in particular its effective rewrite of the First Amendment.

“On Monday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in two free-speech cases that could have broad implications for the way the government participates in public discourse … What’s hard about these cases is that both sides have merit. The First Amendment forbids the government from coercing others to engage in censorship on its behalf, but it permits the government to urge action and participate in public debate, even vigorously. The second half of this equation has been understated in the discussion of these two cases, but if the Supreme Court fails to account for it our democracy could suffer,” CNN declared.

Really? Since when does the government have the right to “urge action and participate in public debate,” especially as “vigorously” as CNN claims it can?

Perhaps CNN should revisit the actual text of the First Amendment itself – you know, to ensure they are using the correct “facts” in their opinions.

According to Cornell Law School, not to mention every other source available, the text of the First Amendment is rather direct and straightforward:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

Well, isn’t that something? The only place the government is even mentioned is with regard to citizens filing grievances.

Needless to say, many grievances should have been filed during the pandemic.

Exactly where does the First Amendment state that the government should be “vigorously” engaging in public debate? As that appears totally and completely made up.

Frighteningly, CNN’s readership is unlikely to look at the actual text of the amendment themselves.

For that matter, they are unlikely to even read the entire article, which contains some other real gems regarding CNN’s shameless propaganda machine.

“While the allegations of unconstitutional coercion are much weaker in this case, at least one interaction between the Biden administration and the platforms appears to have crossed the constitutional line …

That interaction involved a heated 2021 email exchange between individuals at Facebook and White House officials, who berated the platform for failing to take down disinformation and then vaguely warned that they were “considering our options on what to do about it,” CNN admitted.

So, in other words, even CNN admitted, in writing (several paragraphs down), that “at least one” interaction between the Biden White House and social media companies was unconstitutional.

Yet the same network has the gall to claim that the government should still “vigorously” participate in public debate, and by default, content moderation?

Something suggests that the current actions of the Biden administration are precisely why the Founding Fathers created the First Amendment in the first place.

Only to have it rewritten by the Communist News Network (CNN) just over two centuries later.
