Way to deflect attention from diverting taxpayer funds for illegals.
Especially when those taxpayer funds were meant for the black communities … and particularly when such diversions were undertaken by a DEI mayor himself.
As reported by the Crusader, the so-called “reparations task force” created by Chicago City Mayor Brandon Johnson is now taking “applications.”
“This Reparations Task Force represents a pivotal moment in our city’s history and my administration’s ongoing pursuit to repair the generations of harm our people have endured,” Johnson proclaimed.
Right.
More like the reparations task force represents a pivotal deflection from the DEI mayor’s unsound illegal migrant policies.
“By bringing together diverse voices and expertise from across our communities, we are doing more than just studying the past – we are creating Chicago’s first comprehensive roadmap for reparations that will build a more equitable future that centers justice for all,” Johnson continued.
Well, that’s all nicely intentioned, but perhaps “reparations” aren’t needed if taxpayer funds earmarked for black communities actually go to black communities, rather than to illegals.
Carla Kupe, the City of Chicago’s Chief Equity Officer, continued the grandiosity of Johnson’s remarks, going as far as to say that everyone’s “dignity” is protected in Chicago.
“We all envision a Chicago where every person’s dignity is honored and protected, and where everyone has what they need to thrive. To realize this vision, the City has a responsibility to acknowledge and address historic and present-day racial inequities,” Kupe proclaimed.
Eh, sure. Except when that “dignity” is threatened by measles, tuberculosis, and other communicable diseases from migrants streaming across the border.
“This work is not only essential for Black communities – it is foundational to Chicago’s future. When Black Chicagoans access opportunity and reclaim agency over their lives, the impact resonates across our entire city. Together, we move closer to a Chicago that is more just, more equitable, and more prosperous for us all,” Kupe added.
Uh huh.
Except “equity” includes hordes of illegal migrants, and money simply does not grow on trees, contrary to Dems’ beliefs.
Even worse, this reparations task force appears to be a blatantly obvious deflection from the very real anger that black communities feel towards Mayor “Brandon” Johnson.
In fact, the resentment was so bad that the sanctuary city mayor had initials removed from a city council meeting all of a few months ago.
“Chicago mayor removes people from city council meeting after outrage over migrant crisis,” KFox14 announced in its headline.
Tellingly, one person wearing a “Chicago flips red” shirt, who identified herself as Jessica Jackson, was one of the individuals who publicly berated the mayor for his apparent preference for illegal migrants.
“We gonna talk about this budget, about the strange things that’s happening, because again, your name was on this executive order of May 2023, this executive order for immigration, migrants and refugee rights,” Jackson raged.
In other words, Jackson clearly sees right through the mayor’s nonsense.
And she was even clearer in a briefer sentence.
“You caused all this money to go to illegal immigrants,” Jackson angrily added.
And, rather than address the problem, the sanctuary city mayor creates a new one – a reparations “task force” that will likely achieve nothing, aside from building more resentment with endless broken promises.
