DHS Feigns Denial Over Border Disaster

Ever since the Biden regime has taken over, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been more vigilant about stalking Americans with conservative-leanings views over veritable human trafficking organizations that are shamelessly profiteering from the widely open borders.

Anyone who looks at actual data could say, rather accurately, that the security of the U.S.-Mexico border has drastically deteriorated under the alleged leadership of the Biden administration … even with Title 42 still in place.

Title 42, one of the numerous effective policies from the Trump administration, prevented numerous migrants from entering the border due to the COVID pandemic.

The same pandemic, by the way, that Biden claims is still in existence, given that he’s just requested billions more from Congress (i.e., taxpayers) for the virus this winter.

Nonetheless, in spite of requesting this emergency funding, Biden apparently thinks it’s a great idea to suspend Title 42, which will only encourage millions more to cross the border.

Per the text of Title 42, migrants can be refused due to a public health crisis, and that should be the case, given Biden’s recent request for billions:

“The Director may prohibit, in whole or in part, the introduction into the United States of persons from designated foreign countries (or one or more political subdivisions or regions thereof) or places, only for such period of time that the Director deems necessary to avert the serious danger of the introduction of a quarantinable communicable disease.”

Alas, apparently COVID is “communicable” for purposes of requesting billions, not so much for expelling migrants at the border, with Title 42 set to expire.

The DHS, of course, has hemmed and hawed about its alleged plan for protecting border security.

“While the stay is in effect, DHS will continue to process individuals in accordance with the CDC’s Title 42 public health order and expel single adults and family units encountered at the Southwest Border,” the DHS brayed.

Right. “Expel” the migrants that are actually caught, that is, given how many have managed to evade Border Patrol.

Doesn’t help when Border Czar Kamala never bothers to visit the border.

The DHS also prattled on about its typically nonsensical advice, advising migrants not to take the dangerous journey when the White House has done everything in its power to encourage it.

“People should not listen to the lies by smugglers who will take advantage of vulnerable migrants, putting lives at risk. The border is closed, and we will continue to fully enforce our immigration laws at the border,” DHS boomed.

Right. The border appeared vastly more enforced under the Trump administration, and no amount of deceptive PR from the DHS will change that.

Neither will nonsensical responses from DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who spent the first several months of the Biden administration denying that a problem at the border even existed.

Until he couldn’t exactly do that anymore.

He’s switched to empty promises now instead.

Republican Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma, however, remains quite concerned about the future state of the border, which was rather evident in his recent inquiry directed towards Mayorkas.

“We’re still waiting to try to figure out what happens now and how many are about to cross the border. What’s the plan for dealing with this massive migration, illegal immigration coming now post-Title 42?” Lankford inquired.

Most Americans would be quite interested in the DHS’s alleged plan, especially given the untenable level of illegal migration presently occurring.

Mayorkas delivered a typically vague response, which would reassure exactly no one.

“What we are doing is precisely what we announced we would do in April of this year, and we have indeed been executing on the plan,” Mayorkas boomed.

Really?

Seems like the only one who had a concrete plan of any kind was Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who began shipping interested migrants to sanctuary cities up north.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent several dozen to Martha’s Vineyard as well, otherwise known as the location of Obama’s $20M+ summer residence, only for the elitist politicians to have them all expelled.

Mayorkas’s plan, on the other hand, is deliberately vague on details.

“We are enhancing the consequences for unlawful entry, especially with respect to individuals who seek to evade law enforcement, including removal, detention and criminal prosecution when warranted,” Mayorkas intoned.

In other words, the broadest, most general response possible … one that leaves tons of leeway for the DHS to do what it’s done all along.

Absolutely nothing.

Mayorkas was sure to load up his response with a healthy amount of deflection as well, the standard response of the Biden regime.

“The entire hemisphere is suffering a migration crisis. We are seeing an unprecedented movement of people from country to country. It is not restricted to the southern border,” Mayorkas boomed.

Well, that is true. Quite a few migration crises have emerged worldwide, in large part due to the warmongering of the Obama and Biden administrations.

However, it appears that only the United States-Mexico border has been labeled as the most dangerous border in the world by the UN via Missing Migrants Project, an inconvenient fact that Mayorkas, along with pro-open borders libs, rarely bother to acknowledge.

Another inconvenient fact is that report identified 2021, also known as the first year of Biden’s presidency, as “the deadliest year at the United States-Mexico border since at least 2014.

One of the many “achievements” of the Democrats to start off the 2020s … one can only imagine how they may plan to transition into the 2030s.

Especially given all the climate objectives with 2030 deadlines …
