It’s bad enough when migrants effectively kick tourists out of hotels so woke mayors can virtue signal with taxpayer dollars instead, but it’s really bad when illegals apparently kick veterans out of line for healthcare services.
Funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs, no less.
Senator Tommy Tuberville gave rather disturbing insight into this trend in remarks to Newsmax.
“A lot of people don’t know this but because of the border crisis the Biden administration is looking for every possible way to take care of these people coming across that the American taxpayers shouldn’t be responsible for — especially our veterans,” Tuberville remarked.
That is indeed quite disturbing.
“We just recently found out that because of all this infiltration of illegal immigrants, they’re trying to push illegal immigrants into VAs, Tuberville continued, “now let me get this point straight: VAs, we have 19 million veterans right now. We only treat about 9 to 10 million because we can’t afford to help all of them. We don’t have the facilities to handle it, and they have long lines. So, because of that, we started these community care systems all over the rural areas of most of the states in the country, paid for by the VA.”
That’s deeply troubling.
So, in other words, the Democrats can’t handle the health care challenges of all the migrants it’s allowed to swarm in, so he’s displacing veterans for illegals in the VA healthcare system.
Gotta keep them healthy enough to keep voting Democrat, after all.
“Well, now, after the VA and the veterans had an easier time of going to these places in these rural areas, the Biden administration has decided to use these community care systems for these illegals. And it’s pushed our veterans to the back of the line,” Tuberville remarked in disgust.Indeed, it has. And now the number of veterans who are backlogged and waiting for treatment has backlogged and grown substantially since 2022 alone.
“The pile of benefit claims by veterans and their families awaiting adjudication has grown to 417,855, according to the VA’s own website — up from around 150,000 as of late 2022,” the New York Post reported.
What a coincidence. At the same time the Biden regime allowed them all to swarm in.
“It’s wrong. This shouldn’t be happening. We shouldn’t be spending this money this way. And hopefully, the American people see what’s happening with all these things going wrong at the border,” Tuberville continued.
On its part, the VA has sworn it hasn’t paid for illegal healthcare, but other media reports suggest otherwise.
“The Department of Veterans Affairs is facing blowback for helping pay out millions of dollars to medical providers who treat illegal immigrants while they are in federal custody – while a backlog of hundreds of thousands of claims from veterans has grown,” the New York Post reported.
