Bernie Sanders has tried – and repeatedly failed – to become a serious presidential candidate, dating back to at least 2016.
Either that, or he saw an easy way to make millions easily … basically by being bribed to drop out.
Which is likely why he will rant and rave against “billionaires,” in contrast to ranting and raving about “billionaires and millionaires” in the past.
Now, Sanders is apparently intent on reinventing himself as one of the most antisemitic Senators in the Senate, as evidenced by him throwing a fit about the upcoming Israeli visit to Washington, D.C.
Apparently, Sanders is deeply offended by the prospect of Israel having a voice in the nation’s swamp – err, capital – despite the fact that both Republicans and Democrats have supported Israel’s forthcoming presence in the capital.
In other words, Sanders is blatantly doing Iran’s bidding, likely at a price, while a bipartisan group of representatives and senators attempts to maintain ties with the only free government in the Middle East.
Indeed, a bipartisan group invited Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to speak, including the following individuals: Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the House; Charles Schumer, the Senate Majority Leader; Mitch McConnell; the Senate Republican Leader; and Hakeem Jeffries, the House Democratic Leader.
In their letter, the representatives and senators called for Netanyahu to come speak before a joint meeting of Congress in order “to share the Israeli government’s vision for defending democracy, combatting terror, and establishing a just and lasting peace in the region.”
Apparently, Sanders does not share such a vision, unilaterally veering straight in favor of full-blown terrorism.
In contrast to more sensible colleagues, Sanders has blasted Netanyahu as a “war criminal.”
Real diplomatic.
“What [Speaker Mike] Johnson is going to have to explain to the American people is why he thinks it’s OK to invite somebody to a joint session who is responsible for the deaths of some 38,000 Palestinians at this point, 60% of whom are women and children, elderly people,” Sanders ranted.
Well, Sanders, it’s not just Johnson … it’s also Schumer and Jeffries, both of whom are full-blown Dems, who have invited Netanyahu.
Are they going to have to “explain” Israel’s alleged war crimes as well?
On top of that, Sanders is citing data delivered straight from Hamas … an Iran-backed terrorist outfit that is hardly known for being truthful.
Rather unfortunately, other Democrat militants have demonstrated a similar aversion to one of the United States’s longest standing allies in the Middle East, as some have openly declared that they will not support the presence of Israel in DC.
During his own appearance on NBC, Representative Ro Khanna asserted, “I will not attend … I said that if he wants to come to speak to members of Congress about how to end the war and release hostages, I would be fine doing that, but I’m not going to sit in a one-way lecture.”
That’s funny.
Considering the Dems have done little more than engage in one-way lectures, not to mention witch hunts, since puppet Biden took office.
“We’re not going to make a big deal about it. He’s obviously addressing the Congress, and there has to be decorum,” Khanna added.
Oh, yeah.
Because publicly shredding a longstanding American ally while simultaneously refusing to attend his speech is the height of “decorum.”
Well, as none other than wannabe Queen Pelosi has said, most voters in AOC’s district will vote for anything, including a “cup of water,” with a “D” beside it.
Seems that rather accurate characterization could apply to the entirety of the Democrat voting base these days.
