Media Blasts Statements In Pledge Of Allegiance As “Threat” To Security

When the media began bleating on and on about the importance of critical race theory, wise individuals knew that the left wouldn’t stop at rewriting American history in terms of slavery.

The left apparently wants to dismantle every original element of the United States that still stands today, in particular elements such as the electoral college and constitutional republic.

Indeed, the fact that the United States is a republic is incredibly evident in the Pledge of Allegiance, which all students used to say regularly:

“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Those are the words from the classic Pledge of Allegiance, which has long served as the focal point of classrooms until teachers, for the most part, went completely crazy.

In perfect conjunction with the fear mongering media.

According to a report from The Blaze, CNN anchor Omar Jiminez went as far as to claim that individuals who acknowledge that the nation is a republic, rather than a democracy, are apparently a threat to national security and representative governance.

“President Biden touts his re-election campaign as a fight to preserve democracy, but if you ask some Trump supporters, the former president is not a threat to democracy because the United States is not a democracy,” Jiminez brayed.

Reporter Donie O’Sullivan chimed in, going to the left’s predictable scapegoat:

“I’ve heard a lot of conspiracy theories. I hear a lot of things out on the road, but to hear Americans, people who would describe themselves as patriots, say that America is not a democracy, that stopped me in my tracks,” O’Sullivan blared.

conspiracy theories.

Conspiracies, sure … until they’re proven correct.

Wuhan lab leak? Check.

Hunter Biden’s very real laptop of information? Triple check.

The list goes on and on and on, but the mainstream media keeps on prattling on about all the ways in which conservatives are just awful.

And, apparently, a danger to national security for daring to know a thing or two about rather rudimentary civics.

Journalist Anne Applebaum also weighed in, predictably bemoaning the “narrative” that educated conservatives have apparently fallen for.

“You are hearing people say ‘America is not a democracy’ because there are people around Trump who want them to be saying, who have been planting that narrative … If they can convince people that we don’t have a democracy then it’s okay Trump is attacking democracy because it doesn’t really matter,” Applebaum asserted.

So, the “narrative” planted in the Constitution and Founding Fathers’ writings is apparently disinformation? Seriously?

Needless to say, more than one Republican was swift to put the clueless CNN commentators in their places.

Senator Mike Lee, for instance, noted that republics have a few virtues over democracies, particularly in terms of checks and balances.

“Yeah, we’re a constitutional republic. Sure, it’s a democratic form of government. But calling it a ‘democracy’ ignores important, constitutional limitations – put in place by our founders – designed to keep democratic impulses in check. That’s the whole point of the Constitution,” Lee declared.

Other commentators were even more forthright.

“How does CNN explain the Battle hymn of The REPUBLIC? Or the line: ‘And to the REPUBLIC which it stands’ in our pledge. Democracy is only a PART of the Republic. We have one man, one vote (democracy) to elect our REPRESENTATIVES, They Represent us to enact laws through the CONSTITUTION which they all swear to PROTECT AND DEFEND. Why does the left seem to only care about ‘democracy’. Yes, it is important, but without the rest of it, democracy becomes mob rule,” Glenn Beck demanded?

Without a doubt, it does.

Just the way the puppet masters of the “Big Guy” like it.
