Enough is enough!
While ultra-elitist Marxist continue to extol the virtues of “Defund Police” and “zero bail,” other groups, in particular those concerned with racial justice, have recognized these farcical policies for what they are: a blatantly racist attempt to keep vulnerable communities perpetually down.
Mind you, these are actual established groups, rather than the ramshackle Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, which was little more than a shameless money grab and a tool to destroy societal cohesion.
The only saving grace is that BLM is currently sailing into oblivion due to its blatant theft of all the “charitable contributions” it received.
On the other hand, the National Association for the Advancement of Color People (NAACP), perhaps the most famous, and long-running, racial justice group in the nation, has not only publicly blasted the absurd policies of woke Democrats, but also demanded significant public investment in safety resources.
Like law enforcement.
In a searing letter, the Oakland branch of the NAACP shredded the utterly feckless “progressive” movement, which has steadily destroyed multiple communities and all but ensured the continuation of generational poverty and violence.
A position evident from the opening lines.
“Oakland residents are sick and tired of our intolerable public safety crisis that overwhelmingly impacts minority communities. Murders, shootings, violent armed robberies, home invasions, car break-ins, sideshows, and highway shootouts have become a pervasive fixture of life in Oakland. We call on all elected leaders to unite and declare as state of emergency and bring together massive resources,” NAACP Oakland branch president Cynthia Adams and Bishop Bob Jackson wrote.
Shame that the “elected leaders” are too busy filling cities with illegals while letting violent criminals walk free to care.
Noting that black communities were “disproportionately hit the hardest” by the aftermath of terribly woke policies, Adams and Jackson also openly shredded the “Defund Police” movement, taking the opposite approach of the Soros-backed BLM.
“Failed leadership, including the movement to defund the police, our District Attorney’s unwillingness to change and prosecute people who murder and commit life threatening serious crimes, and the proliferation of anti-police rhetoric have created a heyday for Oakland criminals. If there are no consequences for committing crime in Oakland, crime will continue to soar,” the letter continued, noting that Oakland was short of at least 500 police officers.
An incredibly blunt, yet deadly accurate, portrayal of the travesty unfolding across northern California.
Indeed, Adams and Jackson are quite blunt about Democrat “leaders” literally allowing murderers to walk free, a despicable state of affairs in an allegedly advanced nation.
In addition to shredding the unacceptable crime rates, Adams and Jackson also annihilate the current state of affairs with regards to education and employment, making it rather clear that the NAACP is uninterested in perpetual government handouts that breed dependence, rather than promote empowerment.
“Our youth must be given alternatives to the crippling desperation that leads to crime, drugs, and prison. They need quality education, mentorship, and, most importantly, real economic opportunities. Oakland should focus on creating skilled industrial and logistics jobs that pay family-sustaining wages, and vocational training so Oakland residents can perform those jobs,” the NAACP leaders wrote.
In other words, “no” to woke gender ideology degrees, “no” to woke critical race theory degrees, and definite “no” to a lifetime of crime and anarchy, aided and abetted by Soros-appointed “prosecutors.”
Moreover, “no” to increasingly useless universities that spend more time indebting future generations of Americans with impunity, graduating countless students who boast approximately zero marketable skills.
The same students who later demand that taxpayers fund their utterly irresponsible choices.
In other words, the NAACP is calling for real solutions, not solutions that empower criminals and render communities helpless amid a perpetual cycle of poverty and violence.
Most brilliantly of all, the NAACP also openly blames the “progressive” movement for the chaos, not “white privilege.”
“Unfortunately, progressive policies and failed leadership have failed leadership have chased away or delayed significant blue collar job development in the city, the Port of Oakland, and the former Army Base. That must change!” Adams and Jackson asserted.
Amen!
Way to call out utterly useless progressive policies heralded by anarchist billionaires like Soros. Who clearly have zero qualms about the death and destruction caused by their deliberately dangerous policies.
The NAACP also urged multiple individuals to “speak out” with regards to public safety, adding that they should no longer be “shamed into silence.”
In other words, people should not be afraid to call for investments in police and public safety, not to mention real education.
“Each and every one of us has the right to live peacefully and safely,” Adams and Jackson concluded.
Indeed, they do … Now if only the “elected” officials in government would get the memo.
