Senator Sanders Throws A Sinister Bone To Hamas

Leave it to Senator Bernie Sanders to rant about ending a “blank check” to a major American ally during a time of heightened global tension.

Hint: Sanders isn’t talking about the longstanding “blank check” to Ukraine, but rather the alleged “blank check” to Israel.

Such a stance is precisely why neither Israel nor Ukraine are likely to receive additional aid this year, as the Democrats have decided to insert their woke causes into very real wars.

These woke causes include their apparent militant adherence to open borders, as they are certainly not in favor of Republican measures designed to improve border security.

Senator Chuck Schumer recently announced that Congress would be working together in order to determine appropriate funding for American allies, alongside national security concerns.

“Today, I sent my colleagues my plan for the final work period of the first session of the 118th Congress – including negotiations on long-term government funding, the national security supplemental, the NDAA and other bipartisan legislation,” Schumer boomed on X.

That “national security supplemental” is precisely why neither Israel nor Ukraine is likely to get funding, as Democrats continue to dig in their heels over the border.

Apparently, Democrats are keen to pump hundreds of billions into Ukraine for protecting its own borders, yet they feel far less passionate about American borders.

Probably because most Democrats live in armed fortresses within walled communities already, which are far, far from the border.

Most Americans, however, do not reside in multimillion-dollar compounds, and several live right on the frontlines of the border crisis.

Republicans are clearly dedicated to rectifying this challenge, which is exactly why they required the supplemental in the proposed budget.

As the Democrats are already resisting, one Republican, Representative Mike Turner, has sounded off on the reality of funding for Israel and Ukraine.

“I think it would be very difficult to get it done by the end of the year. And the impediment, currently, is the White House policy on the southern border. The White House … including it as a national security package – recognizing that the Southern border is a threat – put in funding, but it’s going to need policy changes,” Turner mused.

Indeed, policy changes will definitely be mandatory.

If the United States wishes to ever regain any sense of security, that is.

“Congress is going to require that there be laws changed to make certain that the border returns to its prior state – you know, perhaps ‘Remain in Mexico,’ other types of provisions that would secure the southern border,” Turner continued.

In other words, sensible provisions that

Of course, woke radicals like Senator Bernie Sanders are less concerned with the border and more concerned with disabling Israel.

“The blank check approach must end,” Sanders brayed in the New York Times.

Oddly, Sanders has not been nearly as vocal regarding the much longer-standing “blank check” in Ukraine.

“The United States must make clear that while we are friends of Israel, there are conditions to that friendship and that we cannot be complicit in actions that violate international law and our own sense of decency,” Sanders added unhelpfully.

So, in other words, Sanders would hold up the entire bill, including its national security provisions, to throw a bone to Hamas.

With “friends” like Sanders, who needs enemies?
