Witless Whitmer Hurls Millions At Illegals For Dubious Purposes

Way to go Whitmer!

When Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer heard the pleas from Mayor “Brandon” Johnson of Chicago and Mayor Eric Adams of New York City, it seems she feels compelled to answer.

Predictably, Johnson and Adams are suffering from an apparently unsustainable migrant crisis, and they seem to think that throwing free money at migrants will encourage fewer of them to come.

Even mor predictably, Johnson and Adams have blamed the migrant crisis in their cities on “racism,” rather than the absurd sanctuary city and freebie policies that clearly drive illegal migrants to their cities in the first place.

Now, Whitmer is offering a major league freebie that may well entice hordes of migrants to come to Michigan, and that freebie includes millions for legal representation for migrants.

Sabrina Balgamwalla, who serves as the director of the Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic at Wayne State University, made a rather pitiable case for Whitmer’s allocation of millions.

“I get calls every day from people who need legal help, who have called every nonprofit in the state … I have to turn them away because our docket is full,” Balgamwalla whined.

Well, but of course. That’s what happens in sanctuary states/cities giving away massive freebies to illegals.

Even more will be arriving now for the “free” legal representation.

Of course, these millions will be derived from taxpayer revenues.

Frankly, with the Democrats collectively spending so many billions (or trillions?) on illegals, it is likely worthwhile to take a brief trip down memory lane to assess what the purpose of tax revenues was for in the first place.

According to Fiscal Data, which is an “official website” of the government, tax revenues are, in theory, explicitly designated for the “American public.”

Not the illegal public.

“The primary sources of revenue for the U.S. government are individual and corporate taxes, and taxes that are dedicated to funding Social Security and Medicare. This revenue is used to fund a variety of goods, programs, and services to support the American public and pay interest incurred from borrowing,” Fiscal Data reported.

Apparently, Fiscal Data needs to update its definition to include endless funding of “free” shelter and other goodies for migrants, which come at the cost of “funding Social Security and Medicare.”

In fact, politicians have recently been squawking about major threats to Social Security and other programs that many Americans have paid into for decades.

Many assumed that the threats to Social Security can be traced to the fact that there are increasingly fewer workers to pay into the system than retirees who will eventually withdraw from the system.

However, given the massive influx of illegals, it is quite clear that the threats to Social Security will escalate, especially as woke Democrat mayors continue to demand billions from the government for funding theirdeliberately self-inflicted crisis.

Fiscal Data noted that approximately $2.19T in tax revenues have been collected in 2024, an enormous number by most metrics … unless, of course, the Democrats are in charge.

Then, all those trillions are just a drop in the bucket … especially if the $50T “reparations movement” ever gets off the ground.

With all the coddling of illegal migrants now, it just might.
