The Democrats must have a thing for illegitimacy.
After all, Senator Elect John Fetterman just barely won Pennsylvania through highly dubious means, starting with the fact that his real health status has been hidden from the public.
Like president, like senator in the Democrat world.
Then, almost as if to display how out of it he is, Fetterman thought it would be a good idea to invite Adam Jentleson to become his Chief of Staff, as evidenced from his recent tweets.
“With @AJentleson as Chief of Staff and @JoeP13 as State Director, I am confident that our U.S. Senate Office will be ready to fight + deliver for the people of Pennsylvania on day 1 Joe + Adam are the best in their fields, and it’s an honor they accepted these key positions,” Fetterman boomed.
Really? Is that so?
One thing is for sure … Jentleson certainly is ready to “fight” the apparent legitimacy of Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court, as evidenced by rather pitiable op-eds he’s previously penned.
Of course, the New York Times was a ready and willing participant, which makes the imminent strike that its leftist snowflakes are threatening all the more satisfying.
“There are steps Democrats can take to apply maximum pressure, brand the process as the illegitimate farce it is and lay the groundwork for desperately needed reform that can reverse the damage early in 2021 if Democrats win in November,” Jentleson began.
“The illegitimate farce it is.” Funny, as that’s a more accurate depiction of Fetterman’s entire campaign, which was blasted by multiple individuals who have any respect for the truth, or even part of the truth, these days.
Jentleson also outlined a number of destructive steps to brand Barrett “illegitimate” before her ascension to the Court, such as boycotting confirmation hearings, as well as “systematically” denying unanimous consent agreements.
Of course, such actions would “bring the business of the Senate to a halt,” as reported by Fox News, but the Democrats are hardly concerned with actual progress, as the top elites live more opulent, relaxed lifestyles than the CEOs they love to hate.
Little wonder the Democrats concentrated so much antipathy on former President Donald Trump, an actual businessman.
Which is ultra-leftists like Jentleson fixated on making Barrett “illegitimate.”
“Together, these tactics will hang an asterisk around President Trump’s nominee,” Jentleson trilled, clearly unperturbed by the inherent violence suggested in the word “hang” regarding a woman he apparently hates enough to destroy.
Luckily, he did not succeed, which is why he probably continued to rage away on Twitter about the so-called “asterisk” that he is so desperate to “hang” Barrett with.
“Senator Durbin is right that there are no procedural silver bullets available to Democrats to block the nominee, which the piece made clear. But Dems can hang an asterisk on [Amy Coney Barrett], brand the process as illegitimate – and if they win, enact reforms that will rebalance our democracy,” Jentleson whined.
Oh yeah. Because the course of action Jentleson, as well as the Democrats generally, suggest is so motivated by “rebalancing democracy.”
Moreover, the Fetterman camp’s glib suggestion that a Supreme Court justice should be made out to be “illegitimate,” a previously unheard of “strategy.”
Rather ironic, given the Democrats’ rage against Trump for his own illegitimacy claims regarding the election.
The difference between the Democrats and Trump is that Trump has an actual point.
The Democrats don’t …
More disturbingly, Fetterman’s camp also seems to suggest that Democrats should have the unilateral power to reshape the Constitution as they wish, which not only disregards the intentions of well over half of the American population, but utterly disregards the independence the judiciary is supposed to have, as the framers intended.
“Democrats should commit to reforming the Supreme Court: They can add seats to the court; apply age or term limits; or pass any of a range of credible proposals,” Jentleson demanded.
If that’s the Democrats’ idea of “credible,” the nation is in deep trouble …
