In the explosive public blowout between Musk and Trump, the former famously accused the president of being in the infamous Epstein files.
Previously, Attorney General Pam Bondi had asserted that the files would be released, finally shedding transparency into the dark underbelly of Epstein’s notorious island.
Several conservative influencers also attested to the imminent release of the long-hidden files.
However, the Department of Justice (DOJ) shockingly announced that a “client list” did not exist while simultaneously asserting that no foul play occurred when Epstein was incarcerated.
In the same statement, the DOJ also declared that no further release of any information regarding Epstein would occur in the future.
Needless to say, this sudden announcement marked a profound shift from just a few months ago, leaving numerous victims apparently infuriated.
As detailed by The Hill, attorney Sigrid McCawley finds it “astonishing” that more has not been disclosed regarding Epstein.
“I think what’s really just astonishing about this recent disclosure from the government is that they know they are sitting on a treasure trove of information, and they’re not turning it over. And I’ve worked on these cases for over 10 years now — there’s a plethora of information that the public has not been able to see relating to Epstein and his co-conspirators,” McCawley mused.
Indeed, that information was promised to be released, and the sudden announcement of its permanent sealing was startling to many.
In particular many in MAGA, who were looking forward to starting to learn the real truth of what happened.
Though part of what happened certainly involved a much greater number of people than Epstein alone.
“Epstein could not have run this operation without the help of many people. He needed a lawyer who would, you know, cover things up for him. He needed an accountant who would funnel money in certain ways. And as we know, he had a group of people around him who helped protect him and help that scheme to continue running. None of those people have been prosecuted,” McCawley continued.
Without a doubt.
And, at this point in time, it would appear that they never will be prosecuted … much to the devastation of Epstein’s victims.
While the individuals of Epstein’s world continue to live lives of immense luxury and privilege … and apparently limited, if any, conscience.
“There’s a ton of information of what happened in Epstein’s world, who was coming into his homes, who was leaving his homes, who he was paying, who he wasn’t paying, etc., and that information has not flowed out from the government … We know that there had to be information on those computers. There has to be other information that they could disclose,” McCawley concluded
Without a doubt. Though perhaps the government may reverse its position once again, as it is clearly adopting a flexible approach to many major policies.
