Nuisance Newsom Wages Deranged War With DeSantis

Oops, he’s at it again!

Clearly eager to distract from his state’s rising deficit, coupled with an inability to pay the level of outrageous reparations demands declared by his ill-intentioned “Reparations Task Force,” California Governor Gavin Newsom has once again shifted his attention to a vastly more competent governor on the opposite coast.

That governor would be none other than Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, whose massive victory in the state’s most recent gubernatorial run stands in stark contrast to Newsom’s rather embarrassing recall election.

And, as usual, rather than deal with his state’s own intractable issues, Newsom has bulldozed full steam ahead into a fresh war with the Sunshine State.

The official Twitter page for the Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, posted a tweet that announced the leftist leader’s latest war against DeSantis.

“Parents have a right to know what’s happening to undermine kids’ education. Governor Newsom is demanding records from publishers and Florida to find out whether any of the companies designing California’s textbooks are the same ones kowtowing to Florida’s extremist agenda,” the account brayed.

Ah, great. Start a textbook war.

Now that Newsom decided teenagers can actually return to school, multiple months after Florida reached that decision, he apparently thinks attacking schooling in the Sunshine State is a great idea.

Alongside the tweet, the account also included a copy of the full letter that Newsom sent to varied textbook publishers, issuing his typically empty threats.

“Earlier this month, the Florida Department of Education rejected dozens of social studies textbooks and worked with publishers to edit dozens more – erasing topics about race, civic engagement, and historical protest. California will not be complicity in Florida’s attempt to whitewash history through laws and backroom deals,” Newsom asserted.

Wow, that’s a rather staggering accusation for someone with next to no knowledge of what actually transpired.

Something suggests, however, that DeSantis was hardly erasing the Civil War and more likely erasing various CRT claims, such as the United States being founded in the early 1600s rather than in 1776 with the Declaration of Independence.

“Parents have a right to know what’s happening in the dark to undermine our children’s education – and California deserves to know whether any of the companies designing textbooks for our state’s classrooms are the same ones kowtowing to Florida’s extremist agenda,” Newsom continued angrily.

That’s rich. Parents also have a right to know whether or not their child is contemplating changing their gender, but California would clearly have zero qualms about hiding that level of information.

“To date, Florida officials have not released full details around this process. This week, my office submitted to the Office of Governor DeSantis and the Florida Department of Education a public records request related to this situation. Specifically, we are seeking all communication between their office and the textbook publishers reflecting revisions that publishers proposed in order to get their textbooks approved for use in Florida,” Newsom added pointedly.

Funny, given that the federal government has also not released “full details” regarding a number of Biden’s nefarious scams and shady business dealings, all of which will be (fully) pinned on Hunter if push comes to shove.

Anything to ensure that the ultimate yes-man runs again in 2024.
