Pence Pummels Liberal Witch Hunt

During a recent interview with Fox News Digital, former Vice President Mike Pence did not hold back on his disgust regarding the highly partisan January 6 Committee, as well as a number of other obviously politicized actions that the Department of “Justice” has taken against former President Trump.

For instance, the J6 Committee can hardly be the most impartial entity in the world, considering it is spearheaded entirely by Democrats, along with token RINOs like Liz Cheney.

“Frankly, the idea of a committee in the Congress entirely appointed by one party was offensive to my understanding of what the Congress is,” Pence asserted.

Seriously. Especially since the United States, at least in theory, is not a one-party dictatorship.

Democrats certainly wouldn’t mind that possibility in the nation’s future, however.

Given the insanely partisan nature of the J6 Committee, Pence also delivered an unsurprising “thanks, but no thanks” response to their request for his testimony.

“I think if you consider the separation of powers between co-equal branches of government, I just think having a former vice president of the United States come before Congress to testify about private deliberations with the president of the United States or private deliberations at the White House would set a terrible precedent,” Pence added.

And, to be really affirmative, not to mention Twitter-friendly, Pence made his position explicitly clear in seven words.

“Congress has no right to my testimony,” Pence declared.

Aside from the highly partisan J6 Committee, Pence also expressed intense dismay regarding the current “special counsel” move against Trump, the White House’s latest attempt to attack Biden’s predecessor.

“The appointment of a special counsel is very troubling. No one is above the law, but I am not sure it’s against the law to take bad advice from your lawyers,” Pence intoned.

In other words, the Department of “Justice” is hardly acting in the most judicious manner possible when it comes to a former president who has received the support of a huge swathe of the United States, not to mention various American allies.

Needless to say, the latest weaponization of the DoJ against Trump features highly suspicious timing, to put it mildly.

“The timing of this decision – just a few short days after the president announced his intention to seek re-election, I think that the history of it, the facts that I am aware of behind it, I think it is very troubling,” Pence remarked.

Almost as if they had the special counsel announcement lying in wait, ready to be delivered once Trump announced his intentions to run in 2024 for the presidency once again.

Perhaps in the same way Democrats have many traps laid in advance, accounting for the generally high degree of unpopularity they have amongst Americans.

Pence also noted that the Democrats themselves have engaged in highly questionable antics with federal law enforcement, in particular the Clinton cadre.

“There have been disclosed FBI agents falsifying documents, the FBI using a Clinton campaign-funded opposition research document to support two and a half years of the Russia hoax,” Pence detailed.

All of which enabled the Clinton machine to run a “Trump-Russia Collusion” disinformation campaign for the vast majority of Trump’s presidency.

Antics that the Clintons have yet to face any accountability for.

Which is precisely why the DoJ and other federal agencies feel so emboldened to shamelessly destroy basic precedents when it comes to dealing with former presidents.

Indeed, Pence observed that “the decision to execute a search warrant against the personal residence of the former president of the United States” was “deeply troubling” action that sent “a divisive message across the country.”
Even more problematically, all these actions were taken under the auspices of a president who would allegedly “unite” the nation.

A president who could have taken any number of other less publicized actions … but didn’t.

“There were many more opportunities – short of executing a search warrant on the personal residence of the president of the United States to resolve the issues of classified documents that were present there,” Pence reminded the White House.

Such a highly dramatized raid on Mar-a-Lago, as if Trump were a cartel leader, surely decimated Americans’ trust in various federal agencies, that’s for sure, and that trust will remain destroyed provided that the agencies continue to demonstrate such brazen politicization.

“Now would be a good time for the Justice Department to be working on restoring its credibility with the American people,” Pence said pointedly.

The department should probably stop following the whims of school boards as well, especially when it comes to demonizing parents who dare to question a militant LGBTQ+ curriculum.

Clearly, the DoJ has become insanely politicized under the “leadership” of Merrick Garland, which is precisely why Fox News columnist Gregg Jarrett delivered a scathing commentary on the Biden administration’s brazen double standards through the authority of Garland.

“From the moment he was sworn in as attorney general, Merrick Garland set out to transform the Department of Justice into a zealous political organ. Without conscience, he weaponized his immense powers to protect President Biden while punishing his adversaries. Garland’s appointment of a special counsel to take over the DoJ’s investigations of Donald Trump offers further proof,” Jarrett writes.

Not to mention desperation over the 2024 presidential election.

“Yet, the attorney general continues to ignore an even greater conflict of interest as he presides over an FBI and U.S. attorney investigation of Hunter Biden that directly implicates his father, the president,” Jarrett added.

As well as directly relate to a number of international conflicts, from Europe to Asia.

Conflicts that seem to have a number of very uncomfortable intersections with the current White House.

“How convenient and dishonest. It bears the unmistakable stench of a double standard,” Jarrett asserted.

A double standard that spells serious problems, domestically and internationally …
