Bungling “Brandon” Brazenly Vows To Sanctify Sanctuary Cities

In a seemingly cosmic joke, Chicago residents have decided to replace ultra-radical Lori Lightfoot with ultra-radical “Brandon” Johnson.

Yes, his name is “Brandon.”

How utterly fitting, given his core values as a so-called representative of the people.

In a recent election, the ultra-progressive candidate Brandon Johnson beat out Paul Vallas to become Chicago’s next mayor, winning 51.4 percent of the vote relative to Vallas’s 48.6 percent.

Vallas had been backed by Chicago’s Police Union, and, needless to say, Mr. Brandon has limited to no respect for the police.

He does, however, respect militant teachers’ unions.

David Axelrod, who served as former President Barack Obama’s chief strategist, noted that the election basically boiled down to backing the police or backing teachers unions.

“[Johnson] is the candidate of the Chicago Teachers Union and, if he is elected, he will owe it to the Chicago Teachers Union. … The question is, do you want a mayor who is entirely beholden to the union,” Axelrod mused.

Alas, Chicago residents ultimately voted in favor of the Marxists, and a year from now they’ll wonder why the city population continues to decline as people who actually work and follow the law flee the state.

Gianno Caldwell of Fox News is certainly disgusted by the development in Chicago, especially given his own family tragedy due to city violence in the past.

During an appearance on “Your World,” Caldwell made zero bones about his views on Chicago’s new and unimproved policy.

“[This] to me was the signing of thousands of death certificates of people who don’t have to die because of the policies of which he’s advocated for,” Caldwell declared.

Exactly.

With the rise of extreme violence in Dem-“led” cities, it is extremely unsurprising that radical, pro-criminal policies would empower criminals.

At the same time police presence is also dramatically declining.

“This is a guy who’s defunded the police, who’s advocated for that, who’s defended rioters and looters, who’s not thought about public safety, who the police department, the police union, rather, has said that multiple police officers would resign with his election at stake,” Caldwell continued.

And many of those police officers likely split for the Sunshine State, where the police are respected, not to mention paid a one-time $5,000 bonus for relocating.

Needless to say, Florida provides vastly more law and order than Chicago, courtesy of Governor Ron DeSantis.

On the other hand, “Brandon” himself loudly bragged that defunding the police constitutes an “actual, real political goal.”

Yeah, sure … Provided he is personally surrounded by armed, private security 24/7, of course, in the spirit of the virulently anti-police, outgoing Mayor Lori Lightfoot.

Of course, Brandon rambled on in platitudes after his disturbing victory, claiming the so-called “dream is alive” following his victory.

“Today the dream is alive … and so today we celebrate the revival and the resurrection of the city of Chicago,” Brandon boomed.

Apparently, such “resurrection” includes doubling down on Chicago’s sanctuary status.

“Chicago is a sanctuary city. As such, we must always resist attempts to pit communities against each other and extend this sanctuary promise to everyone who needs it in our city – both long-time residents and newcomers alike,” Brandon boomed.

Well, that’s just great.

Don’t worry, Brandon … DeSantis will send you 100 illegal migrants for every cop that you inadvertently send to Florida.

And guess which leader will ironically gain more revenues via taxes? Not Brandon …

In fact, truly the only saving grace about Chicago’ most recent fiasco of an election is the degree to which Lightfoot must be fuming.

After losing her bid to become mayor again, after which she predictably blamed “racism,” Lightfoot insisted, “Brandon Johnson isn’t going to be the mayor of this city.”

Apparently, that was not the case.
