You know things are getting really bad when even the Communist News Network (CNN) can’t cover as effectively for President Biden anymore.
Indeed, CNN, which has clearly gotten overly dependent on reporting on top presidential candidate Donald Trump, is having a heck of a time continuing to make excuses for Biden.
After all, the network can’t hide Biden entirely, much as they would like to do, especially as the nation is descending more deeply into a crisis.
And one of the worst elements of all of the crisis relates to illegal immigration, which Democrats have long encouraged through their deliberately illegal sanctuary cities.
Predictably, millions of individuals have since stormed the border in pursuit of sanctuary cities and all their taxpayer-funded “benefits,” including luxury hotel stays in New York City, which in turn has made Americans increasingly angry.
So angry that at least one Biden official has come forward and admitted the need for Trump’s wall, an official that CNN surprisingly quoted in its unprecedented criticism of Biden.
“It is necessary to waive certain laws, regulations, and other legal requirements in order to ensure the expeditious construction of barriers and roads,” DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas gravely declared.
Amazingly, CNN decided that Mayorkas is in the right and Biden is in the wrong, which is clear in the network’s scathing commentary on Biden’s response to Mayorkas.
“When Biden was asked Thursday if he believes border walls work, he answered, ‘No.’ But Biden couldn’t ignore the problem forever. In September alone, the US Border Patrol apprehended more than 200,000 migrants crossing the US-Mexico border unlawfully – of course, they couldn’t count the people who got away.
This marks the highest total of the year and a large increase from August, which had about 181,000 arrests. And these crossings are expected to remain high in the near term, as one senior US Customs and Border Protection official told CNN,” CNN reported.
Amazing, really. Just absolutely amazing.
While it’s humorous for CNN directly calling out Biden for “ignoring” the problem, one of course can’t help but think of the many problems that news networks continue to deliberately ignore.
For instance, why couldn’t CNN have called out Biden for “ignoring the problem” more than two years ago?
Oh, that’s right – Because Trump was calling out the problem, and heavens knows that CNN cannot be in agreement with Trump about anything!
Apparently, CNN couldn’t ignore the problem anymore either, especially when the Dems began whining.
“Border states, especially Arizona and Texas, have demanded federal support for years, seeing their resources strained and desert cities overrun. But it wasn’t until red-state governors started bussing migrants to northern climes last year that the issue grew more urgent in the Democratic party,” the network intoned.
In other words, until Democrats began dealing with the mess that they created, the issue was not “urgent” at all.
Gotta love all the inconvenient truths that CNN is willingly spilling now, even if it is one opinion piece.
Most humorously of all, CNN is actually irritated at Biden for not openly supporting Trump’s wall, though of course the network won’t say “Trump’s wall.”
“What should be a win for the White House is turning into a muddled mess … White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre continues to dodge questions while Biden bizarrely claimed that the border wall he approved won’t work. … Despite allowing Mayorkas to authorize the move, Biden has vaguely blamed Congress,” CNN continued.
Beyond hilarious. Way to call out Biden’s pitiable blame game and Jean-Pierre’s perennial dishonesty.
That said, it is beyond hilarious to read about CNN’s apparent support of walls now.
“No wall will stop non-citizens overstaying their visas or flying to the states and never heading back home. Well-funded cartels and bad actors will try to evade new physical barriers as they have in the past. But a wall will drastically reduce historic numbers in the short term, allowing the federal government to work with foreign governments and reinstate policies that have proven effective,” CNN proclaimed.
Well, isn’t that something. Trump himself expressed that years ago.
Real shame that CNN didn’t express such views when Trump was in power. Imagine how different 2020 could have been.
