“Unlike my predecessor, on my first day in office I introduced a comprehensive plan to fix our immigration system, secure the border, and provide a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers and so much more.”
So boomed Biden during his recent State of the Union address.
Hilariously, Biden introduced a “comprehensive plan,” all right … one that resulted in at least 7.2 million illegals streaming in since he took over.
As declared by multiple defense experts, who are rather aghast at the state of mind of the alleged “commander in chief” of the U.S. armed forces.
After all, Biden’s fiascos at the border and overseas have put the United States on a path of “irreversible” decline in terms of global security.
For instance, retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, who now serves as a contributor on Fox News, observed that Biden has routinely taken “a long time to make decisions or to do something.”
For instance, as Putin gathered thousands and thousands of troops at the Ukrainian border, Biden didn’t do a thing … until after the invasion.
So, yes, Biden surely does like to take his time … With the exception of the abrupt withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, that is.
Michael O’Hanlon, who serves as and director of research in foreign policy, as well as a senior fellow, at the Brookings Institution, sounded off on that utterly disastrous withdrawal, noting that it reflected a clear absence of “intellectual flexibility and the ability to take in new information.”
“On the one hand, much of the discussion seems to focus on Afghanistan, and then-Vice President Biden’s role in the debate about what to do in Afghanistan during the Obama administration. There, Biden lost out to advocates of a large surge and probably felt vindicated when that surge did not achieve the desired results … That said, in my view, he remained a bit stuck in his vision of where Afghanistan was when he mistakenly ordered our withdrawal in the opening months of his presidency,” O’Hanlon mused.
With respect, Biden remains “a bit stuck” in a tad more than Afghanistan.
Heck, he’s prattling on about recent conversations with world leaders, some of whom have not been in power since the 90s and others who have long since been deceased.
That said, Biden clearly lacks the acuity necessary to make rapid, and rational, decisions, as detailed by Kellogg.
“When it comes to national security, you know, it all really comes down to the commander in chief, the president of the United States … You always want your commander in chief to be, obviously, very informed, which the advisers are supposed to do, but able to make very quick, rational, understandable decisions,” Kellogg proclaimed.
The antithesis of the current administration.
“Years ago, in the military, there was a term that was actually used that was called the OODA loop. The OODA loop [stood for] observe, orient, decide, act. What that meant is, frankly, get inside your opponent’s decision cycle. That’s what presidents need to do …
So, if you’ve got a diminished capacity, your ability to make rapid decisions is, of course, questionable. And that’s where you get into trouble with national security,” Kellogg continued, citing the DOJ’s exact characterization of Biden’s long since “diminished” mental functioning.
Indeed.
Especially with a very “risk-averse” administration, as Kellogg plainly declares.
Former Deputy National Security Advisor K.T. McFarland also sounded off even more explicitly to Fox News Digital, noting the obvious nature of Biden’s rapidly progressing dementia.
“Biden’s dementia is plain for all to see, but especially for foreign leaders,” McFarland drawled.
Is it ever. Is it any wonder Xi, Putin, and Hamas/Hezbollah are having a grand old time, in their own absurdly demented way?
