Deranged Disney is currently gloating over its perceived one-upmanship of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, specifically when the entertainment company applied a bizarre clause to disempower the new board DeSantis ordained for overseeing the entertainment giant.
Given Disney’s egregious abuse of special powers before, DeSantis stripped the company of several elements of its “special status,” and one of those elements included weakening the company’s former board and re-installing a more objective, less perverse board that would be personally approved by the governor.
Alas, prior to the transition, Disney invoked a bizarre King Charles clause, which, as CNN gloated, “quietly took power from DeSantis before state takeover.”
Gotta love how CNN uses phrases like “state takeover,” when such an accusation would be vastly more appropriate for Biden or Biden’s business buddies (i.e., the Chinese who Biden permits to buy up vast swathes of farmland).
However, the typically unflappable DeSantis responded rather crisply to Disney’s juvenile behavior, clearly nonplussed by the “challenge” the company threw at him.
“There’s a lot of little back-and-forths going on now with the state taking control, but rest assured, you know, you ain’t seen nothing yet. There’s more to come in that regard,” DeSantis drawled.
Amen!
And, speaking of “more to come in that regard,” DeSantis is steamrolling straight ahead with parental rights in other regards.
The most recent education-related bill, for instance, amplifies school choice for families, especially through private school voucher and other means of offering parents a broad array of different education options.
“Florida is number one when it comes to education freedom and education choice, and today’s bill signing represents the largest expansion of education choice in the history of these United States. When you combine private scholarships, charter schools, and district choice programs, Florida already has 1.3 million students attending a school of their choosing,” DeSantis declared in a recent press release regarding the bill.
Other legislators chimed in, illuminating the widespread support for parental rights that inspires DeSantis’s governorship, including Senate President Kathleen Passidomo.
“The goal of making school choice a reality for every child across our great state has been a long time coming, and with the steadfast resolve and leadership of Governor DeSantis, Speaker Renner, Senator Simon, Rep. Tuck, and many others, today is the day school choice is here for every Florida family,” Passidomo asserted.
The legislator also noted that DeSantis’s proposed regulations may force publics schools to enhance the quality of their offerings, or offer a more quality education to compete with private and charter schools.
“Additionally, this bill reduces some of the outdated, unnecessary, and quite frankly, burdensome regulations public schools have to abide by. By reducing red tape that burdens our traditional public schools, these institutions, which have served our communities for generations, will have a meaningful chance to compete right alongside other school choice options,” Passidomo added pointedly.
No wonder woke public school boards, along with Disney, have such an issue with DeSantis.
After all, both entities were used to running their own show, no matter how deranged and flat-out wrong the show may be for children.
Fortunately, DeSantis could care less how the media responds to his “America First” attitude, especially with regards to protecting society’s most vulnerable against the Democrats.
