GOP Emboldens Trump 2024 Movement With Crafty Graduation Campaign

Half the time, one almost wonders if the pro-Hamas protestors are secretly backing top presidential candidate Donald Trump, though that would require a modicum of self-awareness.

As their antics are most surely driving more and more sane people to the conservative side, a move that has been long overdue.

Indeed, in a long-anticipated move, Columbia University has cancelled its university-wide graduation ceremony, thereby creating an excellent opening for Long Island GOP Representative Anthony D’Esposito.

Specifically, D’Esposito has offered to provide the graduation ceremony that (real) Columbia students deserve, after being caught up in a pro-terrorist cross fire just a couple of decades after 9/11.

“For some, graduating from higher education is the pinnacle of their life thus far – an important milestone celebrated by family, friends and loved ones,” D’Esposito declared, “these students have worked extremely hard, invested a tremendous amount of money, and succeeded in meeting requirements to proudly graduate.”

Yes, they have. But of course, “working hard” and “investing” are apparently indicative of “white privilege” in the Dems’ perverse viewpoint, suggesting that such students don’t deserve recognition in the traditional graduation ceremony at Columbia.

“Leadership at Columbia has failed these students … We won’t fail them as well,” D’Esposito added forcefully.

Seriously.

Just consider the university’s pathetic justification for cancelling the ceremony.

“We have decided to make the centerpiece of our commencement activities our class days and school-level ceremonies, where students are honored individually alongside their peers, rather than the university-wide ceremony that is scheduled for May 15,” the university declared.

Translation: The school is too weak to stand up to terrorists, so it punishes hardworking students instead.

School spokesman Ben Chang emphasized how “disappointed” the university is, but apparently it isn’t disappointed enough to deal with terrorists how they should be deatl with.

“Like our students, we are deeply disappointed with this outcome,” Chang proclaimed.

Uh huh.

Tell that to the students affected by the abysmal policy.

Such as Ari Rosen, a 26-year-old student graduating from Columbia Dental School, who informed the New York Post that he has now suffered from missing two different graduation ceremonies: first, due to COVID, secondly, due to “protests.”

“I lost my [undergraduate] graduation four years ago because of COVID, but then I told myself at least I’ll be able to graduate from dental school at Columbia …

This was always on the back of my mind, and now to wake up to this news is really unexpected. his wasn’t just four years of hard work. This was eight years, undergraduate and dental school. I worked really hard for this,” Rosen remarked remorsefully.

Yes, you did. It’s too bad that hard work likely makes Mr. Rosen an enemy in the Democrats’ eyes.

“I thought it would be a nice celebration at the undergrad campus. My parents were going to come for it. To see it shut down for these protests is upsetting,” Rosen added.

Indeed, it is deeply upsetting.

And one can only hope all parents remember that come November 2024.
